For 22 years, the magical community ran under a placid routine. With Minister Shacklebolt in charge, crime rates were low, Death Eaters imprisoned, and prejudice towards Muggle born wizards and witches waned.

In the summer of 2021, the summer before Rose Weasley, Albus Potter, and Scorpius Malfoy were to enter their fifth year, Minister Shacklebolt was presented an irresistible offer the now empty treasury would be restored if he would enter an alliance with his former enemies. continue

NEWS;

Hey everyone. I'm sure that everyone has noticed the incredible drop in activity lately. The entire admin team was hoping that the revamp would help, but I don't think it did. We're going to be making a new site on Invisionfree soon. It's called Black Abyss and it's a bit AU. It'll still be Post Potter, Post Deathly Hollows but it'll be all of our beloved characters grown up and having wonderful lives. Email me, Ella, at hello.ella@hotmail.com if you'd like to be emailed the link once it opens.

I'd like to thank everyone who hung in with us through these incredible months. MM is one of the most incredible sites I've ever seen. It wasn't just about the plotting, we were breaking boundaries together. We had over one hundred members throughout the course of MM and we all knew each other. Some of my best friends are from MM. Ever since MM got a bit inactive, I've branched out looking for a site as welcoming as MM and sadly, I haven't found it. I really think that MM was magical and it wasn't just because of our backstabbing, bitchy, complex characters either. xD Thank you. For everything. Because honestly, MM was all about you. It was all about what y'all made. I was just here to clean up threads. (:

LADY MADONNA

I, Norma Jasper BLack, am thirty years old. As a pureblood, I support the Order of the Phoenix. I claim that I am a heterosexual female. I am a practicing athetist and the current wand on display - eight inch, oak, combined billywig stinger and dragon heartstring - is mine. If asked, I can present evidence of my human status. I currently do own two german shepherds- Achilles and Aries. My patronus can best be defined as a lioness. I am currently employed by The Ministry as an auror.

PERSONALITY
It is universally known that Norma Jasper Black is loud, assertive, confident, and "always right". On the outside NJ is annoyingly confident. She has a cocky stuborness about her commonly found in former Gryffindors. She has always had her straightforward, tell it like it is attitude towards the world and rarely ever beats around the bush. She has a tendancy to launch herself straight into things. The phrase "Look Before You Leap" holds no meaning for her at all. This often leads to her getting hurt-emotionally or physically, but she likes to think she has a minute rebound rate.

Norma J. does not make friends easily, this is due to her always right attitude. She believes she has never been wrong, having to have things her way most of the time. She is incredibly stubborn; it will take a lot of effort to change her mind. Convincing her she's ever been in the wrong is near impossible. She hardly takes suggestions from other people, once her mind is set it usually will happen. She is rash often thinking up quick actions/reactions. This usually comes in the form of her mouth, which has gotten her in trouble most of the time. On top of all that, she is the most impatient person you've ever met. She will not wait on you.

NJ has been known for her pranking, throughout the years she has ended up in trouble for "innocent" pranks. During Hogwarts she spend most of her time in detention.

Jasper likes to be in control. She is bossy, ordering people around often. She also has a quick temper. She has never been afraid to hex the hell out of someone when they've insulted her. She also holds grudges for a long while. The biggest grudge she's ever held was against the Bulgarian candidate in the Tri-Wizard tournemant. He broke her wrist, costing her the cup along with eternal glory. Any one so mentions the Tri-Wizard Tournemant and she blows up all over them.

Norma Jasper Black is one of the hardest people to get along with, but the most loyal friend when you can look past that. She would do anything to help someone she loves. Woe be the person that tries to hurt anyone she loves.

NJ also has a tendancy to be a little bit overdramatic. Well, mellodramatic. She has an amazing ability to build up minor injuries to a point where she is almost unbearable. A cold is a tragic time and if she has accidentally consumed a pineapple or pineapple substance, contracting the allergic rash that covers her and resembles a poision ivy rash is the worst time for all parties involved, people will run and hide. She gets this melodrama from her mother who makes a paper cut seem like she's dying.

VOICE, LANGUAGE, ACCENT

As all the women in her family, Jasper's voice is high-pitched and fast paced. Unlike her family, her English isn't all the time proper, littered with cursing and slang. Sometimes she's referred to as a ladette by her mother's society friends because she can't control her mouth.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES
On the nape of her neck is the tattoo of a lion she got as a symbol of her rebellion that started when she was sixteen. This tattoo ,to her, symbolized everything her father and she stood for along with everything her mother was against. The tattoo itself is deep scarlet with gold eyes. It was the clear choice for this Gryffindor poster girl.

Countless scratches are found on her thighs. These were from the Tri-Wizard tournament boggarts in the form of rats. They appear as thin welts all along her thighs and are easily hidden by shorts, though she doesn't care much to hide them.

There is a birthmark on her left knee that is somewhat shaped like the grim. This is her favorite part of herself, seeing as the dog was her father's animagus also gracing the family crest of the Blacks.

Just above her right breast on her collar bone is a nice big welt in the form of a bite mark. This was from her first auroring experience at seventeen where she and her team were to capture the vampire William Borgin. When she got separated from her team, the vampire decided to play with her a bit nipping her on the collar bone. Though, he was not on her long enough to inject the vampire's poison, just long enough to leave a mark that can usually be seen when she wears her tank tops or party dresses. The overall result was William Borgin having a pissed off Gryffindor crucioing his ass until someone else petrified him and took him off to Azkaban.

CLOTHING STYLE

Jasper's clothing style comes down to wearing anything that looks or at least smells clean and remotely matches. She doesn't like dressing up much. Her everyday wear usually consists of a suit set when she's working and a tank top and sweatpants combo when she's not. She'll wear nice little party dresses when the occasion calls for it, but normally she's all casual.

FATHER
SIRIUS ORION BLACK III, DECEASED, FORMER ORDER OF THE PHOENIX MEMBER

"If there was anyone in the wizarding world that I would choose for sainthood it would be my dad. He was the most amazing man that ever lived and there's nothing you can say to make me believe different. The poor man lived through being with my mother, escaped from Azkaban, and assisted in the effort to bring Voldemort down. Without him, Harry couldn't have done it. Everyone knows that. Me dad was a saint. He would still be around if my whore of a mother would have told him about me. I'm completely convinced he would have taken me away from that house and I would be living contently."

MARCUS ANGUS LANGE-SIXTY TWO YEAR OLD HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT OF MAGICAL GAMES AND SPORTS, STEP-FATHER

"I feel sorry for Marcus. I really do. I hate to say it, but I told him this would happen. I knew at six years old that my mum would get bored with him after a couple of years, but he wouldn't listen to me. I blame the Imperious Curse. He had to be under it to even remotely consider asking my mother to marry him. The poor chap tried, but failed. He even tried to win me over with World Cup tickets and getting to meet the players and the latest brooms. I suppose he did after a while. Though, I didn't want too get close to him. My mother would have dumped him soon enough and she did. They're divorced now. I take pity on him and bring the kids by for a visit every now and then. Liv takes care of him more than me, but it's the least I could do, I suppose."

MOTHER
SABBATH SYBIL SHACKLOCK-LANGE, SIXTY-TWO, FOUNDING CEO OF THE NASTY LITTLE WITCHES CLOTHING FRANCHISE

"My mother could possibly be the second worst mother that ever lived. When she's not into her smoking and drinking habits that only I know about, she's off having an affair with a younger man she's lured into her trap. Currently she's away in France and out of my hair. I suppose I don't hate my mother, you can't really, I just really really want her as far away as possible. It's better for the both of us. She can drink herself into an early death in France. I don't want her near my children. If she could, she would corrupt my Charlie into thinking her death eater ways."

SIBLINGS
LIVINIA CHARLOTTE LANGE, TWENTY, REGIONAL MANAGER OF NASTY LITTLE WITHCES

"My sister and I have developed a completely new relationship from what we had. Since finding her new matureness, she has taken to talking to me and coming to me for advice and such. Seeing as she's ten years younger than myself, we used to fight all the time. I used to hate having to drag her around everywhere, but now she's much better. Since she met Fred she isn't my mother's clone entirely. This benefits us all really. She's not that bad anymore. I sometimes enjoy talking to her."

GRANDPARENTS
GREMULA BERNICE ROOKWOOD, EIGHTY YEAR OLD LEADER OF THE ROOKWOOD CLAN, MATERNAL GRANDMOTHER

"I don't give Gremmy enough credit. Out of her three girls, I'm her favorite and I know it. Everyone knows it. She left her whole estates to me in the will. (I would know too because she asked me what I wanted and told me I was getting the house whether I wanted it or not.) She has always indulged in me. She says I remind her of herself at my age. She's always said that. I suppose I kind of act like her. I'm just not as controlled as her. I would much rather think of myself like my father. She was the one who insisted on calling me Jasper and using the last name Black."

ASHER PERCIVAL SHACKLOCK , DECEASED MEMBER OF WIZENGMOT, MATERNAL GRANDFATHER

"Well, on the contrary to my grandmother is my grandfather who never really cared about me at all. They were divorced by the time I was born. But, since my mother is really attached to her doting father, she drug me off for endless visits. He favors Liv and all his things go to her. I think this is to spite my grandmother, but he was really old when Liv was young and charming. She still had Slytherin morals stuck in her head and I was at the brink of rebellion. To put it simply, we weren't close."

ORION ACHILLES BLACK, DECEASED, FORMER SUPPORTER OF LORD VOLDEMORT

"My grandfather on my dad's side was dead before I was born. So, not much to tell. I don't think we would've got along. Maybe though. Considering the wife he had, he might have loved me. There's no way of knowing. Just to note, the dog was named before I got him. I did not name my dog after my dead grandfather."

WALBURGA CLYMENE BLACK, DECEASED, FORMER SUPPORTER OF LORD VOLDEMORT

"Ah...Walburga. She would have hated me with a passion. I would've been blasted off the tree for sure. The only thing I get from her is my eyes. Though, I don't really see any other resemblance. Though, Mama says I have her temper. I don't believe that though. Everyone knows I'm absolutely charming. She was a harsh woman and my dad didn't deserve the treatment he got from her. "

SIGNIFICANT OTHERS

CHARLIE ALTAIR BLACK, FOUR YEAR OLD DAUGHTER

"Ah, my Charlie. She's very much like me, that one. She denies every word of it, but she is my clone. She prefers the outdoors and has a loud mouth. She even looks like me. She's very attached to her dad though, which makes us come to stalemates most of the time. Despite that, I love her with all my heart. She and I can really connect because we're so similar, but we are both so stubborn so it's hard sometimes. I hope that we stay close as she gets older.Though, considering my family's history with their mothers, I don't believe that'll happen. "

SIRIUS ORION BLACK IV, FOUR YEAR OLD SON

"Sirius is my angel. He hardly leaves my side when I'm home and I don't mind one bit. He likes to talk with me and I know everything that goes on in my house through him while I'm away. He's always the first to greet me at the door. He's his dad in his looks, but he's got that Black charm about him. He's more mature than Charlie or I could ever be. I just wish he wouldn't try to be so grown up so fast. He's my quiet one and the one that takes the orders and does the dirty work for Charlie. It's a pity really. I'm going to have to teach him to man up to her sometimes."

ROYCE LOT SCABIOR aka MORDRED CASTRO DEADLOCKE, THIRTY YEAR OLD DARK WIZARD, FATHER OF HER CHILDREN

"Dre and I didn't officially meet until a long time after we had heard of each other. It was during my sixth year. Here I was at my pranking height, I was in the Tri-Wizard Tournament, and I rocked at Quidditch. Then, he happened. It all started in the Great Hall. I was sitting there minding my own business and eating my dinner alone -I wasn't the most pleasant person to be around since me and my boyfriend/best friend King broke up- when all of the sudden the vats of chowder exploded, coating everyone and everything. Well, I was a little to out of it to care until ole' McGonogall stood up redder than any Weasley's hair and told me to march to her office even though I didn't do anything. There I got the chewing out of my life and detention scrubbing Hogwarts with a toothbrush and no magic. After that, I declared war on Scabies by pouring dirty water on his head, which he retaliated by tracking mud over my nice clean floors and it escalated from there. I don't know when we turned from enemies to lovers. It just happened. I'm not in love with him. I tolerate him. Don't anyone give me any looks. I don't love him. I don't."

MINERVA MCGONOGALL, DECEASED, GRANDMOTHER-LIKE FORMER HEADMISTRESS OF HOGWARTS

"Ahh...Minerva. She's the grandmother Walburga never was. I know she was very special in my dad's life and she still is in mine. My kids call her Nana. We try to visit her as often as we can. She's still the same old bat she was back in Hogwarts. She gave me more than enough chances in light, hoping that one day I would see the light and go for the Transifiguration teacher position. I never did though. She made sure I was in the advanced classes. She would always tell me about my dad when I asked, lots of times when I was serving detention with her. I love that old woman. She's been more to me than my own grandmother. I don't know how I would have ever survived Hogwarts without her. "

    FEINT, TWENTY-FIVE YEAR OLD, ASSASSIN

"If there was anything to say about this whore it's that she is the bain to my existence. I can't stand her at all. The way she's all over Dre in my house. I mean, who does that? I just wish she would go away. But, I suppose...if you took Dre out of the picture....we make a pretty good team...Yes, I realize I'm saying that through clenched teeth. The only time we teamed up is when we had to break that sorry bastard out of Azkaban because he decided to go all noble for his brother. Since then, we've been fighting like crazy. I wish I could throw her out of my house but Dre insists she's there as a bodyguard to my children. It's like I can't take care of them myself. Like me being a very successful auror means nothing. I've killed before. It's not like she's the only one. I'm capable of protecting my own children. I did very well two years before we busted him out. It would at least be better if she would put some clothes on."

JAIDEN DRAGOS SCABIOR, TWENTY THREE YEAR OLD, OLD MONEY/ENTREPENEUR, BROTHER LIKE

"Okay, I feel terrible about Jaiden. It was all my fault he got put into Azkaban. I knew that Royce kid was trouble when I first saw him, but I didn't say anything. I should have said something. I should have got rid of him, but I didn't. Plus, I could have covered it up. I've done it before -And that's between you and me, buddy- and I would do it for him. Sure he's a cheeky little bastard, but he's like a little brother to me. My kids like him too. I try to pay weekly visits and make sure the house is in order. He's like a little brother to me. I owe him bigtime too. He shouldn't have had to go to Azkaban. He didn't deserve it. I could've prevented it. I will pay him back any chance I get."

HISTORY

In the early morning on a January day, Norma Jasper Black slumps down into her designated chair, throwing her stiletto clad feet onto the stands in front of her. Her chair is seated in the very middle of an arena type setting. She is food for lions today. NJ shares a similar red-lipped scowl her mother who is seated two rows diagnoally behind her. NJ's shoulders are tense. It is unclear if this is because she is on trial for murder or her natural temper is coming out for being accused of the muder of her fiance, beloved Quidditch player Kingley MacLeod. She crosses her arms much like a four year old in time out, glaring as the members of Wizengamot file in.

They glower down on the girl, obviously some old enough to remember her father. Some that are old enough, keeping to their belief that she should go without trial as well, but to their disdain she had been granted one. Her eyes narrow at the accusing party as they take their seats simotaneously. Her interrogator, Mr. Blicava, is the last to take his seat at the head of the mob.

Carefully, Blicava's face contorts as he mulls over his first question. The judge on his far left bangs the gavel for silence from the jury on the far right and the audience behind the accused. He fixes NJ with what is supposed to resemble a withering stare. She scoffs at him, clearly having no respect for his authority. He takes no offense; it is to be expected of possible criminals. He assures himself that he will have her later.

Court scribes write furiously on parchment, in tune with the quills scribbling away for various newspapers. The photographer takes a quick snapshot while she can get NJ and Sabbath in the same frame, smirking about how brilliant her article on this would be.

The bailiff to the side is eager to haul off another prisoner. He eagerly calls out the case file. The judge gives him a dismissive wave and hands the floor directly to Blicava for questioning. Blicava leans forward to get a better view of the accused. Licking his chapped lips he presents his first statement. “Lower your feet, please.”

NJ lets out a huff as she allows her feet to drop to the floor with a loud bang. Her manner much resembles a child banished to the Headmistress’s office, not a grown woman fighting for her very soul. She appears to have a school girl like understanding of what was going on here. She gives no sign on her face that a consequence more severe than any detention awaited her if the trial does not go in her favor. Blicava looks past this as he looks down on the beautiful twenty-five year old.

“Your name is Norma Jasper Black, correct?”

The question is received with an eye roll. Norma’s voice leaks disdain as she pries apart her lips to speak, “Did you really just ask such a bloody stupid question?”

“I’m taking that as a yes then?”

    “Of course, imbecile.”

    “Good.”

Her tone is uncooperative at best. Blicava knows that this is not going to be easy but there is a look of calm determination on his face. He looks down at one of her last updated files laid before him. He is not surprised at what he finds. She is an auror, he knew that. She was restationed to Hogwarts. That would not be good. There was nothing really about her former history.

"You are indeed the daughter of Sirius Black and-"

"You say one word about my father in that tone of voice again and no one in this room will be able to protect you," she interjects. Her father is a touchy subject for sure. NJ has a zero tolerance for anyone talking about her father in any way but praising him for the amazing man that he was. Indeed, Sirius Black had not known of his daughter, held hardly any love for her mother, and died before Sabbath's pride had given in to tell him, but that did not matter much to Norma. As she fixes Blicava with an unpenetrable gaze, it is apparent on her face that she is dead serious about her father. There is no sign of her wavering from her gaze, leaving Blicava to look down at the file again.

"Your mother is going to character witness for you, Miss Black?"

"I suppose," NJ grumbles. She does not watch as Sabbath lifts herself out of the audience. Her false public smile comes on automatically as she makes her way down the stairs and to witness chair. Her movements attract attention for sure because she still looks young for her age. Her body has not sagged from what can be seen and her face is still just as lovely as any thirty year old woman. She walks with a sway to her hips that demand attention. Blicava can see much resemblence between mother and daughter as they now face them. Their jawlines are identical. Their cheekbones are high with a rosey glow. Their foreheads are high, showing off thin quirked eyebrows. Below them are the same shape of eyes, one holding crystal caverns of blue and the other dark murky waters. Her nose belongs to her father however as does her hair color. Where he mother's is black laquer, Norma's is a dark brown with hints of copper. There was no doubt to Norma Black's parentage now. Anyone with eyes could see that.

He pulls himself up, not willing to be outdone by Sabbath's straight posture and sanguine smile. It was obvious where NJ recieved her attitude, from a mother that seemed to personify a black widow. A motive lay behind those pleasant blue eyes. It was, surprisingly, the will of a mother protecting her child. Sabbath rarely showed such feelings towards NJ, which was why Blicava found himself regretting calling her. Mother's protecting their young were a hassle.

"Mrs. Lange," he speaks in a kinder tone to vixen. "Could you tell us some about Norma's childhood? Fill the court in on the little girl you once knew."

"It is Miss Rookwood and of course, Mr. Blicava." Sabbath's head bobbles when she speaks. Each word has its own head tilt. Her eyes speak along with them. "I would say Norma was in general a happy little girl. She always had more than she needed. I was very glad to have her. She's the only thing left of my Sirius."

Her words are sugar coated, but NJ still scowls up at her mother. Leave it to Sabbath to lie terribly to the entire court. She is right on some parts, but the fact that she was even acknowledging Sirius is a shock to NJ. She had refused to talk about him throughout NJ's entire childhood, and now she was speaking of him as if she were his widower now? It sickens NJ to hear her mother talk like that.

"-You see, we lived with my mother. I could not bear to leave my own mother in such a large house alone. She enjoyed Norma's company more than anything. I just wanted a baby's laughter to fill those grim halls. She was indeed a most beautiful child. She was always curious and into everything. Her favorite past time I do believe though was playing outside. She did so every chance she got. Of course, I had to be away often because my very respectable business was in its infant stages as well. She begged me not to go sometimes, and it really did break my heart to leave her. But, I had to provide for us. So, to ease the pain of seperation, I enrolled her in a ballet school when she was four. She was the most splendid dancer-"

Those who are looking at NJ can see her scowl reform at the mention of ballet. She is not going to condradict Sabbath on the splendid dancer part. She thought she was herself, but that was because the imperious curse was used more than once to get her to go to that stupid dance academy. Ballet had consumed her childhood when she was not yet old enough to challenge Sabbath's superiority over her life. Her savior grandmother Gremula had not even contradicted the woman. She had been in favor. The word traitor pops into NJ's mind as she listens to Sabbath's babbling.

"-though we did have some trouble when I married Marcus. Norma had no real interest in a father. But, only being five years old she adjusted quite nicely I would say. I believe their common ground was Quidditch. Marcus is the head of Magical Sports and Games and would take her to Quidditch games. It was pleasant to see them bonding so well. -"

NJ gives a deep sigh at the mention of Marcus Lange. Even at the age of five she could tell the marriage wouldn't last. Marcus was routine, Sabbath loved adventure. Marcus was safe, Sabbath adored danger. Marcus had money, Sabbath was a gold digger. It was not hard to deduce the marriage would end badly. Though, NJ had never predicted it would last this long. The birth of her sister, Livinia, was what brought Marcus back, that was obvious even though at the time he didn't know it was not his child. NJ remembers warning him the day of the wedding, but he had not heeded her. Finishing up her grand lie, Sabbath is dismissed.

"Thank-you, Mrs. Lange," Blicava says, returning to his file. He recieves a curt nod and a "Miss Rookwood" as she moves back to her seat. NJ finds herself tenser as Sabbath passes behind her. The familiar, flowery perfume fills her nose, nauseiating her. This is the first time this has ever happened, and NJ has a feeling it will be problematic.

"Now, Miss Black," Blicava turns his attention to the gagging Norma. He rolls his eyes, thinking it is an act and has the judge bang loudly with gavel. NJ, in return, gives a ferocious look and swallows hard. Her head is light, but she manages to straighten herself. The color is draining from her face and Blicava gives a sick smile. He believes he has broken the girl already. "I believe that brings us to school years."

There is a loud echo after a considerably large file is dropped in front of Blicava, making a grand bang as it does. There is a smirk on NJ's lips. It is obvious she is proud of her "accomplishments". Her eyes glaze over a bit with nostalgia. Blicava takes note of this. Typical that a former Gryffindor would be caught up on their "glory years". He had expected this.

"So, first year," he began. This is going to take forever, Norma thinks bitterly, as she props her feet up again. She had not been the one to forget the tradition of trouble making that was her father's legacy. Though, first year was not all that bad. "Professor McGongall, would you please approach."

Norma is not exactly surprised the only living adult figure she really ever cared for was there to speak in her name. Understandbly, McGonogall has a soft spot for the young Miss Black. She sits facing the stand, looking much like the Professor she is. She removes her pointed hat, revealing that the majority of her hair has faded to grey, with only two brown streaks up the sides. She does not appear old or tired though. Blicava inwardly groans. Protective females annoy him greatly.

"Ah, Professor, you remember Miss Black's Hogwarts years, correct?" Blicava starts.

"Are you presuming, Mr. Blicava, that I am losing my memory?" She gave an eyebrow quirk that had him looking back down at his papers. During his own school years McGonogall had been his most hated teacher. He was not exactly enthused to see her now.

"Of course not, Professor," Blicava says simply before trudging forward. He wants to get out of this area as fast as possible. Two Gryffindor women would be hard enough to fight, that was for sure. But, he thinks them inferior and keeps that in mind as he charges forward. "It says here that she was incredibly cheeky to the professors and was accused of stealing books from the library? Do you believe this is where her roots to a life of crime have taken place?"

McGongall's lips turn white, eyes flashing dangerously. "Mr. Blicava, I do not see how a couple of stolen books can lead to murder. If you've noticed, everyone has been a bit cheeky to their professors. It is perfectly irrational to connect that to a murder trial."

"It is proven that petty crimes lead to bigger crimes, Professor," Blicava adds casually. "The books were all about the heroes of the second wizardring war?"

"They were a connection to her father," McGonogall allows. "Until her first year she knew nothing of him. The books were easily replaced and she was put in detention for that."

"Yes, of course," Blicava says with a roll of his eyes.

"Excuse me, Mr. Blicava," NJ interjects. "Are you implying that I later committed criminal acts?"

    "Well, by these records

I, Ella, swear that the above application is of my own creation. I claim that I am a female living in the Eastern Time Zone.
