[/color] Molly rather thought it was Orla who was 'treating people however she wanted'. Not her. "People like you need to be brought down a notch. Or two."[/b] The ugly smile returned, which was never a good thing, and the emphasis put on 'down' was not lost to Molly. But before she had time to comprehend just what Orla had meant, she had already reached out and gave Molly a little push. Many would probably wonder what was going on in the head of the 'quietest' Weasley, as she walked from the Great Hall, up the stairs of the entrance hall. The books she'd carried to breakfast, so she could read while she eat, weighted in her arms. The girl was almost never seen without at least one book. She seemed to prefer books over people. This lead many to believe she was a snobby, cold brat, who thought herself too good for those around her. Her perfect grades only added fuel to the fire. This made the real reason all the more ironic. Molly did prefer books to people, merely because books were easy, people were hard. Books were hard facts, logic. People were illogical, emotional, and hard to understand.
Molly was socially inept in almost everyway, and did not have the social grace that the rest of her family seemed to have in spades. Molly didn't talk unless it was necessary, and avoided it whenever possible. People in her own year, thought she was mute. It were these reasons, that instead of the thoughts of a 'normal' teenage girl, her head were filled with thoughts of....
The thousand things she had to do. She knew she could still squeeze out another five inches of material for the Potions essay that was due only three days from now. then there was the Transfiguration and History of Magic homework that was assigned today. Sure, they weren't due until next week, but she needed to outline, then write a first rough draft. The History of Magic's subject matter was a bit repetitive, but she was sure that if she gave her essay a nice twist she might actually learn something new. Then she had promised Shiro she'd help him with DADA. So once that was-
"Well, look who it is."
She practically felt the shivers crawl down her spine at the sound of that voice. Her body was condition to have this reaction, after five long years. Clear green eyes stared blankly at the tall, Ravenclaw seventh year. One of which Molly would be glad to see graduate. But she wasn't foolish enough to think it would end then. Her eyes flicker to the 'second-in-command', who was her own year would surely make her life just as hellish for the remainder of her years here at Hogwarts. The tall girl was none other than Orla Quirke, the 'second-in-command' was Su Li. Smiles were suppose to make people prettier, but Molly couldn't think of an uglier smile than Orla's. Especially the one pasted upon her face now. It quickly twisted into a scowl, which Molly thought suited her far better, when Molly said nothing, did nothing. Made no move of panic, or escape. She merely looked straight at all of them, refusing to lower her gaze. She was quiet, not shy. Nor would she ever let this group of girls see her intimidated. It was this fact that made them angrier. It seemed whatever they did, whatever they called her, didn't faze her. They blocked her from continuing on up the stairs.
"What no greeting? No, 'Good Morning, Orla? How are you?" Molly didn't respond, she never did. She wasn't going to 'dance' for Orla's pleasure. "You really are a haughty bitch. Too good to even say good morning. By now Orla was grinding her teeth. Molly would have greeted someone she actually liked, in her own fashion. Orla wasn't someone she liked. She was a bully. "What is it with you? Since you have the highest grades in our year, you think you can treat people however you want?"
That was all it took to set Molly off balance, she felt herself falling backward, and was helpless to stop herself. Her books flew out of her arms. It was as if everything was in slow motion, even herself, and she couldn't move any faster, or do anything even though she was full conscious of the fact she this was going to hurt.
