<--Wes Borgin--> "There's nothing more dangerous than a boy with charm He's a one stop shop, makes the panties drop He's a sweet-talkin', sugar coated candy man A sweet-talkin', sugar coated candyman"
"Only, I have to say, it wasn't always as thrilling as that was."
'Glad to be of service," a smirk slid up the side of his face as he looked down at her. It had been a long time since he had kissed a girl. A quiet sigh escaped his lips. He was really liking this moment. To tell the truth, Wes was a hopeless romantic. He always had been a sucker-no pun intended- for a good love story. And yes, he did cry at the end of "It's A Wonderful Life". He wasn't a wimp, just sensitive. He couldn't help it really. His older brothers were all so far ahead of him and played "Ignore Wes" quite often, leaving him with his mum and older sisters.
But, Wes had always been the charmer. He was much better at it when he wasn't trying though. Otherwise he was just awkward. But, he felt like his charms were working at the moment. Working on his moves in the mirror had actually worked.
He moved to lean his elbow to the left of her where the sun was shining and he was in the shade. He let his head rest against his palm in a classic "Wooing" pose.
"How long did you lay in the sun, anyway? You're really warm," he asked. Truth was, anyone was warm to him, but he supposed it was just her spicy blood. He just needed a conversation piece. Never had the sun looked so great or it hadn't in this lifetime.

"Seems you came in good use," She grinned. "If only I would have known how nice your service would be when you first offered it."
She grinned thinking about when they first met in the entrance hall. When he had said he was of her service, many a thing had run through her mind at once, all along the same lines. Sofia enjoyed the company of a man a hell of a lot, and this didn't help her with her 'slutty' reputation. Not that she minded it at all. So what if word got back to the school that she had let Wes kiss her when they had just met only days before? So be it! To hell with anyone who thought it ridiculous. Sofia Flint didn't let anyone bother her from getting what she wanted and craved.
"How long did you lay in the sun, anyway? You're really warm."
"An hour or so," Sofia shrugged. "I like the summer more so than the winter. It's warm, and I don't have to be hampered by my sense in clothing. I guess I can't complain... I put it upon myself."
She gestured toward the goosebumps that were slightly visible on her arms. They were, of course, also on her legs and the exposed area of her chest, but she figured she'd be coming on a little too strong. He seemed pretty confident, but he was in Hufflepuff. There had to be something the line was drawn at, and Sofia usually didn't deal with many Huffies just because she found them... Well, weak. Wes, however, was a great exception. He didn't seem weak at all. He had quite a bit of muscle on him, and that fact alone made her grin. She liked a man who looked like he could beat the living hell out of someone if he wanted or had to.
"I also enjoy my swimsuits," Sofia grinned.

"Seems you came in good use.If only I would have known how nice your service would be when you first offered it."
He chuckled, throwing his head back. He'd always been in useful to someone whether it be his dad as a bookie or muscles for his friends or the dominant chaser showing that Hufflepuffs weren't all that weak or just being a guy for one of those girls all the other guys use and throw away. Some would call him a push-over sometimes too, but he rarely let people take advantage of him.
'Yeah, guess I did and my services are always welcome for you, doll," he said with the click of his tongue. He liked her smile. He too was thinking about the entrance hall. Most people would take the advice he'd gotten from his fellow Huffies about her, but he believed in giving people chances. Reps didn't matter to him.
"I like the summer more so than the winter. It's warm, and I don't have to be hampered by my sense in clothing. I guess I can't complain... I put it upon myself."
Wes returned his sunglasses to his face and closed his eyes, creating a mental picture of laying on a warm, wet beach in the sunniest place in the world. Over the years he had meditated on how much he had taken advantage of the sun now that he couldn't feel it on his skin. The blood was something he could live, being imortal was good, staying young forever was a perk, but the no sun clause was something that he couldn't stand. For once, he'd like to go swimming without it raining or it being an indoor pool. He'd always liked swimming.
"I also enjoy my swimsuits,"
"Wish I could see you in a swimsuit," He said, opening his eyes and letting them skim down her nice, goosebump covered body. He was sure those goosebumps were due to him being so cold. "Wish I could would be a better phrase."
He added that in as an afterthought. Without a damn big umbrella, he was doomed. He liked to put on the strongest version of sunblock, but it had no real effect, just stopped the burning a little.
But, he could start calling Sofia his personal sun. She would be the first one he would tell if he had to. He was promising himself that if she asked, he would show her. She was the first one he had met. First nice smile he had recieved. That was high marks in his book. Plus, she was already scorned amongst his housemates that hadn't even talked to her. Wes had already decided that she needed someone on her side. He felt that he was that one.

"If you play your cards right, you could," Sofia grinned. "Hell, I could do one better."
Of course she was making some other reference. When wasn't she? Sofia wasn't the type of girl who was quickly suckered into romantics. She was hardly the type of girl to fall in love more so than lust. She was just that; Lust. It was, if not greed or wrath, her biggest sin. Sofia loved to be with the gorgeous men who knew exactly how to please her at the drop of a hat.
Of course, there had been an exception to her lust only policy. Jonathan Macnair. He was the one man who had proved that Sofia was, without a doubt, human and capable of loving someone other than her dear pet or family. However, Sofia felt a bitter snake release itself inside her body at the thought of Jon. She had to control it and make it recoil before the frustration would show on her face. Sofia didn't want to scare Wes off just yet; He seemed like someone worth keeping around. Not only was he ignoring the many warnings he had no doubt gotten from fellow housemates, but he was actually trying to find the good in Sofia and prove them all wrong. It really was sweet.
"What's a cute thing like you doing all alone anyway?" She asked, smirking. "I mean, I'm surprised you made it through your first few days without thousands of girls falling in your wake."
Sofia grinned, knowing all to well that there most likely had been plenty a girl swooning after him. Most of those girls... Well, all of those girls probably resented Sofia, and the fact that Wes had kissed her made the smugness grow inside her. However, there was the shrill possibility that he had kissed someone else as well, but Sofia wasn't going to let that bother her. She could out do any girl on campus if she felt the guy was really worth it. And she highly enjoyed Wes' company at the moment.

"Hell, I could do one better."
If Wes could've blushed he would've. Even though he considered himself a player he was from a time of a lot of modesty and where girls would only talk about that stuff behind closed doors. But, he didn't allow that to phase him and let his trademark smirk climb up his face.
He wasn't going to comment on that though. He didn't want her to think he was a pig. He'd really rather not be a pig. That would be horrible. He couldn't stand it if anyone hated him. He was overdramatical in that way. It was the end of the world if someone mildly disliked him.
For that brief moment, he watched her face intently. He saw that just flicker of annoyance and his face immediately fell. He was annoying her. She didn't like the kiss. He had been too forward. Worry rested all over his face.
"What's a cute thing like you doing all alone anyway?I mean, I'm surprised you made it through your first few days without thousands of girls falling in your wake." "
"Aww...shucks, sugar," Wes said bashfully. He was the bashful type when a girl said anything about him. Never had he been the one to get cocky over compliments. "I'm nothin' special"

→S o f i a i've been here so long, i think that it's time to move THE WINTER'S SO COLD, SUMMER'S OVER TOO SOONlet's pack our bags and settle down where palm trees grow Sofia had thought she detected a flicker of shyness as she made her innuendo. Of course she should have expected it. He was a Huffie, after all. And Sofia wasn't one to dismiss the 'silly' house categorizing. Sofia was one who didn't care that she was assumed so plainly as arrogant, cocky, and vicious when people saw the Slytherin badge upon her robes. She was damn proud of being who she was, and knew that the categories people placed upon others due to houses were almost always true. However, there had been a few exceptions, and those people wouldn't be the first nor last of their kind.
"Aww...shucks, sugar, I'm nothin' special."
"Modest," Sofia said with a gleam in her eye. "I, on the other hand, have a feeling that that statement is far from the truth."
It was true that she knew he wasn't ordinary. The ordinary Hufflepuff wouldn't have dared approach her; Sofia's name had flown around the school with words like 'vicious' and 'slutty' hanging on to her coat tails. There was never a time where Sofia's name wasn't followed by what some would call a negative description. She knew damn well what people thought of her on that part, and she hardly ever cared. Sofia liked her men and she wasn't about to go about and change her ways just because she was labeled as a slut.
And on another fine point, there was truly an air about Wes that stated he wasn't your average bear. The way he talked often hinted off at something, and just looking at him made the point apparent to anyone who noticed. However, Sofia was not quite sure as to how special Wes really was.

"I, on the other hand, have a feeling that that statement is far from the truth."
With a sigh he leaned back a little to accomodate the sun keeping such accurate time and moving the shadows. He gave a frustrated glare at it from behind his shades, but quickly turned his face back towards Sofia keeping his smile on there.
"Sorry, my mother beat modesty into me and my siblings," He laughed a little shakily. He had missed her death and her funeral and he felt so guilty over that. He wouldn't be surprised if she was the one moving the clouds around. "But, I try to be different."
He said the last part quietly, as an after thought to himself. He was different, no point in denying it. But, he was supposed to. Minerva had made him swore that he would avoid the subject at all costs. And he was, though he didn't see any reason to. These kids took DADA, they should know the signs of a vampire. Along with the fact that he didn't eat, it should've been obvious.
"You're not your average Slytherin either," he said rather pointedly trying to turn the subject back to her. "You're not eaten up with self-pity and you don't seem as cruel as they make you out to be. I'm pretty sure that those rumors going around are far from the truth about you."

→S o f i a i've been here so long, i think that it's time to move THE WINTER'S SO COLD, SUMMER'S OVER TOO SOONlet's pack our bags and settle down where palm trees grow "Sorry, my mother beat modesty into me and my siblings."
"No need to be sorry, love," Sofia replied, smiling at him. "Your mother must be an incredibly smart woman. I can't say mine taught me how to do anything... I'm my father's girl."
Sofia really had nothing against her mother. It was true that she had always been closer to her father and that she learned almost everything she knew from the man who raised her, and therefore Sofia was much closer to Marcus Flint than Pansy. Pansy had always seemed so distant from their lives at times, as if her mind was wandering off to another place; A distant country. Marcus hated these times. It was most often when the two would break out fighting again, and Marcus would yell something about some damn wood.
Of course it was beyond Sofia's comprehension as to what this wood was... Or, to be precise, who this Wood was. And the distant country was Scotland. Pansy often went into day dreams as to what the man she had once spent a night with was doing, and more so what their daughter was doing.
"You're not your average Slytherin either. You're not eaten up with self-pity and you don't seem as cruel as they make you out to be. I'm pretty sure that those rumors going around are far from the truth about you."
Sofia's mind snapped back instantly to the present, and she couldn't help the laughter that had escaped her. She? Not the typical Slytherin? Obviously Wes hadn't seen her at her worst. Sofia could be incredibly cruel and vicious; It just depended on who you were and what the situation was. If Wes had taken a cold indifference to her from the start, she wouldn't have wasted time being 'nice' to him. To hell with his looks if he found her a bitch; She'd be the bitch, the ice queen, and he'd be another one of her victims.
"I'm sorry," Sofia smirked, shaking her head to stop the giggles. "It's just that... no one would agree with you on that account. It's awfully brave of you to put so much trust in me."
Sofia had a feeling that Wes may some day regret trusting her. Sofia had never been the ideal candidate for trusting. The only people she had ever trusted were Mayhew, who some might argue wasn't a 'person', her father, and Jon, who had quickly lost that trust after he started messing around with the wrong women.
"You see, I can be rather cruel," Sofia said almost apologetically. "I had to get into Slytherin somehow, didn't I?"

<--Wes Borgin--> "There's nothing more dangerous than a boy with charm
"Your mother must be an incredibly smart woman. I can't say mine taught me how to do anything... I'm my father's girl."
"She was..." Wes said thoughtfully on the subject of his mother. He'd been his mother favorite and he knew it. That Ravenclaw broad was his favorite woman in the world. No one could beat his mother. Which was why he felt bad when he heard about "bad mothers". He wish he could share his mother, though she would be thin stretched.
His mother had been the best. She took no crap from anyone. She was a tough broad with a nice right hook. She always let you know if she liked you or not and thats the way it stayed. She never changed her mind about anything. She had a stubborn soul of a mule and the patronus to match. She was the toughest woman ever known and she wasn't afraid of anything. There was no one like Velma Borgin.
His father however hadn't been so concerned with Wes's well being. The only thing Atticus Borgin was concerned with was Atticus Borgin. No one else really mattered except money. Atticus had always been a money collector. He wanted it all no matter what it took. Wes knew he didn't want to be like him which was why he didn't much concern himself with the Borgin inheirtance that had been building up interest since Atticus had first opened the account. Wes didn't use it much. Only when he really needed to.
"It's just that... no one would agree with you on that account. It's awfully brave of you to put so much trust in me."
"I don't want to sound like that muggle Dr. Paul or whatever his name is, but I think that some famous person was right when he said 'The only way to make a man trustworthy is to trust him.'," Wes replied, smile on his face. "And I think you are trustworthy enough. And if not, now's the time to start over."
Yeah, he was sounding like a mental doctor, but he had to get that out.
"And besides, you are different than the others. I just can't put my finger on it yet," he continued, adjusting just slightly again to avoid the sun.
One major fault people found with Wes Borgin was that he was so trusting with everyone. He believed in giving everyone a chance to be his friend. He ignored reputations; reps wouldn't matter after Hogwarts anyway. He always sets himself up for dissapointment, but as long as he feels he has changed someone in the least bit, he believes he's done a good job.

→S o f i a i've been here so long, i think that it's time to move THE WINTER'S SO COLD, SUMMER'S OVER TOO SOONlet's pack our bags and settle down where palm trees grow Sofia could tell that Wes was going on a bit of a mind trip for a few moments. He had used the past tense 'was', and she knew she had touched something. Was his mother dead? Or did he lose faith in her like Sofia was slowly losing faith in her mother?
"And I think you are trustworthy enough. And if not, now's the time to start over."
"Like a dog," Sofia smiled sweetly."So loyal and trusting. It's nice to feel that from someone rather than all the hate."
Sofia rarely felt anything except lust and hate coming toward her from other people. No one trusted her, and if they liked being in her company, it was usually because she could always please. Men were almost always the only ones who liked to be around her. She knew she had her looks; she was even vain about that. And Sofia supposed most girls hated her because she was so pretty and confident. Why shouldn't she be? She was blessed with the gorgeous face, the long legs, skinny torso, tan skin, gorgeous blond hair... why couldn't she be proud of what she was?
But there was always something on the inside that poked and prodded at Sofia. Yes, as much as she hated to admit it, she could often be lonely. She was human after all, and even if she had Mayhew by her side through and through, she at least wanted someone to talk to every now and again that could talk back. Most people wouldn't expect that from the ice bitch, but she didn't care. Sofia Flint was a little bit lonely. Was that so much?
"And besides, you are different than the others. I just can't put my finger on it yet."
"Let me know when you figure that one out, tiger," Sofia said, taping him on the chest again. She smiled up at him, truly happy that she was finally in the presence of someone else who didn't care what other people said about her. Wes Borgin seemed to be her new scenery at the school.

<--Wes Borgin--> "There's nothing more dangerous than a boy with charm"
"Like a dog. So loyal and trusting. It's nice to feel that from someone rather than all the hate."
He smiled, chuckling again. He was like a dog if he thought about it. So much like a dog in the sense that he was loyal and trusting. The way he would retrieve something for anyone if it was possible. A line from "It's a Wonderful Life" came to his head. The "I'll Lasso the Moon, Mary." line. He would pull the moon down for someone. For her...
"I suppose I am," he replied still showing his sparkling canines. He was trying to think up a clever line to say. But, nothing came to mind, "I practice every day to find some clever lines to say to make the meaning come through."
Yeah, he was a dork, but the song line had come into his head. That was one of Wes's little quirks. He usually had a little song line flying around in his head almost for every occassion. He mumbled out that little line just to relieve his brain of it. The moment had just called for it.
"Let me know when you figure that one out, tiger."
"Tiger? I like that. Tiger..." he muttered, taking the hand she had playfully swatted him with before she could draw it back and kissing her knuckles. He was thinking about them now. They were starting off polar opposites. He was eager now to find that meeting in the middle. His mind raced for a moment before it stopped when he remembered the look in her eye when they were talking about mothers. Again, they were polar opposites.
"Oh, and while I'm thinking about it," he started, "give your mom another chance. She might actually come through for you. Don't know how long she'll be around."

"Rawr," Sofia giggled, clawing him gently with her free hand. "So shall you be the tiger, kind sir. And I, the lamb." She cocked her head to one side thoughtfully. Wasn't it the lion and the lamb?
"Oh, and while I'm thinking about it, give your mom another chance. She might actually come through for you. Don't know how long she'll be around."
Sofia had been trying to decide on what would work better than a lamb for a remake of the 'lion and the lamb' bit, when he sprung something about her mother on her. It was like being splashed with a bit of cold water. She had never necessarily hated her mother. In fact, she did love her mother. It was just that she had always been closer to her father, if anything. He had always been there for her and actually been interested in how she was growing up. Pansy was just... there.
"I don't have anything against her, I guess," Sofia said, shrugging. "She's just... my mother. Brought me into this world and all that."
She couldn't see Pansy as anything more than that lately; Her life portal, per say. The way Pansy had been acting was enough to make Sofia back off. What did it matter? It wasn't like she'd be living with the woman for the rest of her life. Time would come and Sofia would be parting ways with her parents. She'd be off married to some respectable, pure-blooded Death Eater in a huge mansion. Hell, she'd even be a model for the magic community. If there was one thing that would get her somewhere, it sure as hell would be her looks.
"I don't hate her," Sofia added.

"You, m'dear, are anything but a lamb," Wes replied, still holding her hand in his. He racked his brain as well for a comparison that would fit them. "You're a tigress if anything."
He moved closer to her, bowing his head so he wasn't in the sun. He felt bad now for the mention of her mom. Of course she loves her mom! You're such and idiot! Apologize you big dummy! Gah! "I don't hate her." " Of course you don't. I'm sorry. I was stupid for even saying anything. You can hit me if you want. That was really stupid of me. I'm sorry." He sighed. Sofia laughed. He was too damn cute. Unlike most guys, he wasn't trying to get up her skirt. Hell, Sofia liked when guys were trying to get up her skirt. But Wes... Well, Wes was totally different. Yes, she knew she'd love to have him be all over her right then, but there was something about him that she just couldn't place. He was... different. Yes, different indeed.
"Like I'd hurt you if I hit you," Sofia giggled. "Even if I tried my hardest. Besides, you weren't being offensive. I do have issues with my mother, but I don't really hate her, and I knew that wasn't what you were implying."
She pushed herself up onto her toes to reach his cheek before giving it a peck. And then she lowered herself down, biting at the air playfully before speaking again.
"Don't worry. This tigress won't be biting your head off any time soon."

"Like I'd hurt you if I hit you,"
" I suppose I do have a few inches on you," he murmured, half smile sliding up his face. He liked being this close again. And the fact that she was smiling was making him so much warmer. Her laugh was like a warm summer breeze on his face. That was the fragrance he smelled. Summer. He wasn't going anywhere soon. She was a personal sun at the moment.
"Even if I tried my hardest. Besides, you weren't being offensive. I do have issues with my mother, but I don't really hate her, and I knew that wasn't what you were implying"
"I shouldn't have said something," he insisted though. "Wasn't my place."
"Don't worry. This tigress won't be biting your head off any time soon."
He knew that even though she had basically forgiven him, that she would definitely forgive him after this. Once her feet were touching the ground he captured her playful lips with his. He couldn't stop himself. That warmth was intoxicating. So addicting. So wonderfully addicting.
"Ha! Like she could," he said with a wicked grin on his face. He was cocky at sometimes. He couldn't help it though he had a lot of girls backing him up. One girl in particular. I laugh in the face of danger"
To tell the truth Wes was scared of a lot of things. This for example was scary. He was afraid to get close to someone and then have them hate him or hurt him. He didn't want to let Sofia go, but he would have to eventually. She wouldn't live forever and he wouldn't take her sun away.
