(( JaidenDragosScabior )) "Crime runs in my family. In fact, it practically sprints."
Full Name»»
Jaiden Dragos Scabior Date Born»» December Twentieth Age»» Seventeen Year»» Seventh Gender»» Male Religion»» Atheist. Sexual Orientation»» Straight. Pet/s/»» Um, well, he got his friend a kitten once. Does that count? Blood Status»» Pureblood Wand»» Thirteen and a half inches, made of hawthorn wood and has a threstal hair core. --------------------------------- (( abetterviewofyourheart )) personality. First Impression»» When someone first sees Jaiden, you think 'bad boy'. Of course, of you're a woman, you would probably think 'sexy' first, but, hey, he's absolutely fine with that. Jaiden is clearly what someone would label as the bad boy. No one needs to know about his family's history, or his own reputation. They can see it, just by looking at him. Self Image»» Jaiden is quite content with how things are at the moment. He likes being the bad guy, the tough one, and does not want to move. He likes himself quite a bit, too. In his eyes, he's perfect. Absolutely wonderful. He wants it to stay this way. Positive Traits»» - Loyalty; To those given few who are his real friends--well, damn if anyone hurt you. If anyone touched you and you didn't want them to, if anyone dissed you, Jaiden won't hesitate to 'sort them out'. Or 'do them a favor'.
- On Top Of Things; Jaiden know what's going on--all the rumors, all the parties. Everything in the social area. You'd think that Jaiden wouldn't care about that sort of thing, and wouldn't know when everything was, but if someone asked him he could rattle off the next month's upcoming events in a heartbeat. After, of course, he messed with you a bit.
- Indifference; Most of the time, Jaiden will ignore anything that was said about him. Unlike most arrogant bastards, he couldn't give a **** about whether you like him or not, what you say about him. But if he gets drama and attention out of it, then, hey, keep on talking. Who is he to stop you, right?
- Courageous; Jaiden is very courageous, fearless. Of course, there is a fine line between being daring and an idiot. Jaiden, he is proud to say, dips his feet in both areas quite a bit.
- Generous; To some degree, Jaiden is generous. Only to an extent, though. There are some places where he draws the line. But an example of this trait would be Pumpkin the cat. It was he that bestowed the kitten on Hadyn...and he that roughs it up every time he sees it.
- Able to Maintain a Love/Hate Relationship; Jaiden knows how to balance mixed feelings for someone quite well. He himself changes frequently, and it is oftentimes him that invokes the hate bit of the relationship.
- Morals; Okay, so, Jaiden's morals are very few, but he has some. The few he has, he firmly believes in. One, that you should never ever hit a woman. Hit--not curse. Hit.
- Charming; When it comes to women, Jaiden is quite the charmer. He's smooth, and his wit is quite fun to listen to. Of course, he comes off more of an asshole than anything else, but he can be charming, too.
- Witty; Wit is something that Jaiden is chock full of. Snappy retorts are quite common and smart insults are Jaiden's forte. He's one of those people you avoid getting into a verbal battle at all costs.
Negative Traits»» - Violence; Jaiden prefers to go into violence above all else--it is the universal solvent to him. You win, you lose--easy as that. And this universal solvent is, sadly, used quite frequently around him. He won't hesitate to deck you.
- Arrogance; Jaiden is a haughty sort of guy. He knows he's gorgeous and he knows he's charming. His infamous smirk is usually on display for all to see. Especially for the ladies to see.
- Partying; Jaiden is quite the party animal. He doesn't dance, but he gets crazy. Car stunts, crazy spells, and pranks are not past him. Even, sadly, if someone gets hurt in thr course.
- Drinking; Jaiden is a heavy drinker. At parties, usually he gets totally wasted. He becomes even crazier and wilder and loud. Which, to anyone else, would have been embarrassing. But, as Jaiden puts it so eloquently, 'Who gives a shit?'
- Unfaithful; Unfortunately, Jaiden lacks loyalty to a lover. He's had up to five girlfriends before, at the same time, and has cheated on a great number of them. He will do so without question, and is quite sadly, immune to other's feelings.
- Just Doesn't Care; Others have feelings, yes, but Jaiden plainly does not care. Unless they are his friends, they are tools. Simply made for him to use and bend to his will, to make them bend until they snap. And when they snap--oh, that's when the fun begins.
- Manipulative; Jaiden likes to get what he wants, when he wants it. He is crafty, very smart and cunning, and knows all the tricks in the book. This also works for blackmail, bribing, the whole bit. If he wants it, you best believe he is gonna get it.
- Lazy; Jaiden is very, very lazy in the way of the books. He doesn't study, he doesn't do his homework, and he certainly doesn't listen in class. Why would he? He's going into the crime scene, anyway. The only reason he is here is to learn some spells--not potions, not arithmancy or runes. Just the curses and jinxes and spells. And, my god, he can get most of the stuff they teach here from his brother any day. This notion leads many people to believe that Jaiden is stupid. This, my friends, is terribly mistaken. Jaiden is extremely smart, but simply, does not care about school.
- Smoking; Jaiden got addicted to nicotine when he was fourteen, right after he spent a month with his brother in the States. His parents noticed this, and his mother disapproves, and his father doesn't give a rip. So Jaiden smokes, uninhibited, when he is at home. At Hogwarts, though, his smoking time is downsized and it gives him yet another reason to hate the school.
- Sarcastic; Jaiden is the king of sarcasm. He knows how to use it to it's fullest, and takes most any opportunity to practice his already wonderful sarcasm skills. Be careful what you say around him--unlike most people, if he uses sarcasm, Jaiden's tone of voice will not change, leaving you wondering of he was serious or if he was kidding. It makes a lovely starter for him to mess around with your mind.
- Throwing You Off Balance; Jaiden enjoys messing with people's heads. He likes to confuse them, taunt them, and then can usually twist them so they will say thank you for taunting them. Oh yes, Jaiden is that good.
- Does Not Plan; Jaiden lives in the here and now. He wings most everything, decides what he is going to do with his day when he gets to it. The only plans he has ever really made is going to Mordred or following Voldemort's remaining followers. Other than that--nothing at all.
Likes»» - Drinking.
- Partying.
- Close friends.
- FIGHTING.
- Drama.
- Music.
- Cars. Muggle or no, they are so much fun to wreck.
- Chains.
Dislikes»» - People that nag.
- Dancing, though he will if a girl asks him to.
- Overly brave people that feel they need to prove themselves. It's absolutely ridiculous. Why the hell should they care what people thought of them?
- Trying to prove himself. After all, what did he have to prove?
- Preppy clothes. I.e. Bermudas, aviators. They're just not for him.
Amortentia»» Burning rubber. Boggart»» His brother's or sister’s body, brutally ravaged by the gangs that Mordred is into. Its a constant fear--that, one day, he's going to get an owl explaining where the muggle police found the body of a gang leader that was stabbed with shovels until he died. Yes, very dramatic and what not. Jaiden tries not to think of it too much. Patronus»» A dog that looks frighteningly much like a grim. --------------------------------- (( watchedourlivesonascreen )) appearance. Height»» Very tall, around six four. Weight»» Umm. Around one seventy. He's pretty skinny, but muscular. Eye Color»» Pale blue Hair Color»» It changes--blond and black most of the time, or a mixture of the two. Skin Color»» Very pale. Body Build»» Muscular and athletic, Jaiden is ripped. Toned. Whichever you want to call it. Nationality»» Italian, though he is obviously in England. His brother is in the States, though. With all that gang crap. Distinctive Features»» Jaiden wears plugs in his ears, though not the huge ones. Just the small ones that are usually covered by his long hair. Also, Scabior's tongue is pierced, a little silver ball in the middle. And then there is his eyebrow piercing. Jaiden has enough metal in his body to make going through an airport quite a hassle. Ah. And the souvenir from his brother. There are a pair of angel's wings tattooed onto Jaiden's back, stretching from his shoulders down to his lower back. He got it last summer. Also, just as a side note, Jaiden can crack almost any Gang Bone--i.e. his knuckles, his back, his shoulders, his neck. He can do it all when he wants, and how many ever times he wishes to. It will probably lead to arthritis eventually, but since when did Jaiden look into the future? Dress Style»» Jaiden goes for the punk rock style. He doesn't wear tight pants all that often, but usually he has chains hanging off of him, and his hair styled in the general punk way. Leather studded bracelets, black, and graphic Ts are Jaiden's sort of genre. --------------------------------- (( nothingtoseeyouthrough )) school life. Social Status»» The Bad Boy Alliance»» Heirs of Voldemort Career Goal»» Either taking up the Death Eater role or going into The Concrete, his brother's wizarding gang centraled in Atlanta, Georgia and New York. Taken Courses&Grades»» - Defense Against the Dark Arts; A
------The only reason Jaiden is passing this because of the wand work required for it. The grade would have been much, much higher if only Jaiden had not turned in his tests and quizzes blank.
- Charms; P
----Again, the wand work is excellent. Anything written? Troll.
- Potions; D
---Lots of directions are given in this class, and Jaiden, being who he is, does not listen.
- Transfiguration; T
-----Listening? Hah. That's funny.
- Ancient Runes; T
---Interpreting runes into everyday language is not on Jaiden's list of things to do.
- Herbology; P
--Plants. Oh yes. Interesting.
Favorite Classes»» Favorite classes? You're supposed to have a favorite? Oh. News to Jaiden, then. If Jaiden had to chose any class that caught at least a little of his attention, it would have to be Defense Against the Dark Arts. Not that he likes it at all, it just caught his attention. Right? Right. Hated Classes»» Oh, well, this is easy. Charms. Potions. Transfiguration. Ancient Runes. Herbology. Charms. Need I go on? --------------------------------- (( iwassodrowsythen )) history. Family»» Gregoire Scabior-->Father, pureblood Anida Yaxley Scabior-->Mother, pureblood Royce Lot Scabior/ Mordred Deadlocke--Brother, pureblood Priscilla Prince-->Gregoire's mistress, pureblood Dawn Prince-->Jaiden's half-sister, pureblood Past»» - Gregoire Scabior was infamous for getting around. He usually had three or four girlfriends at a time, though he was married to Anida Yaxley.
One of his girlfriends, Daphne, it seemed, turned out to be his sister. They did not know this until te poor woman had a child and had to get tests for who the father was--it was then that they realized that Gregoire and the Daphne were siblings. Disgusted with herself, Daphne fled and dumped the child on Gregoire and his wife.
Anida, the woman that Gregoire was married to, was already bitter from her husband's past betrayals. That he now had a child by another woman--his sister, for god's sakes--absolutely repulsed her. She hated the child the first time she saw it. So Anida named him Royce Lot, after the vengeful king in Le Morte de Arthur that was conceived between Arthur and his own sister.
Now humiliated, Gregoire all but ignored his incestuous son. Sure, he was fed and housed, but only to the point to keep him alive. Royce grew up tough, hardened by years of being ignored.
Two years later, another child was born to Priscilla Prince. The little girl was named Dawn and was given Priscilla's last name. Anida never allowed the child to step inside her home, though, and Priscilla kept Dawn to herself.
Royce and Dawn would sneak out at night, though, to meet in secret and plan. They were young, but both were dangerously smart and wanted to escape the poor treatment they received in their famalies' households.
Their plans were further complicated, though, by another child. On the twentieth of December, Anida Yaxley Scabior had her first son, Jaiden.
Royce and Jaiden got along quite well--as they grew, any person could tell they looked quite a bit like each other, and even a little bit of their father. Royce and Jaiden were practically inseparable--Royce watched over his little brother inconspicuously, and Jaiden strove to be more like his brother than should be normal.
But, at eleven, Royce left their mansion in Italy to go to Hogwarts. His father had wanted his eldest son to attend Durmstrang, but Anida, in a brief spurt of caring, said that he would make no connections at Durmstrang that would do him any good when he returned home. Gregoire, seeing the reason in his wife's logic, conceded grudgingly, and sent his first son away, leaving Dawn and Jaiden behind.
Hogwarts, it seems, could not handle him.
Not only did Royce ace all of his classes {straight O's}, but he left his mark on Hogwarts itself. Many times, a teacher would catch one of the Slytherins that was closely associated to Royce in some act of treason against the school. They knew that Royce was behind it, though they could never link him to the crime that expelled so many of his friends expelled. Once such example was Mortimer Flint--he was expulsed for reasons that were kept under wraps and known only by the professors of the school, Royce, and Flint's accomplices that never returned from Flint's expedition.
When the profesors tried to catch him red handed, they would turn up empty--sure, they would catch the culprits, but not the mastermind. Royce would be lounging in the Slytherin Common Room when one of the professors came in, utterly relaxed with his infamous smirking on his face, and reading Le Morte de Arthur.
Le Morte de Arthur slowly became associated with Royce, even back at home. People saw the similarities between Mordred and Royce--the incestuous birth, the cunning and vengeful nature, the will to bend others to follow him. Gradually, Royce slowly became known as Mordred.
And then, in his sixth year, Mordred was arrested on the charges of murder. He was senteced to twenty years in Azkaban, and back at home, a fifteen year old Dawn and a fourteen year old Jaiden were furious.
They would not leave their brother to rot in Azkaban--it would ruin everything, prove everyone right that Mordred was no good, only an embarrassment to the Scabior household. Both Dawn and Jaiden knew that Mordred hated that, and would absolutely despise the Ministry for proving Anida and countless others right.
But Dawn was cunning. She was on Christmas holidays from Durmstrang, and at home with Jaiden, who was also at home for break. There, they planned, all while the trial was going on--all three siblings knew the verdict was set before even the trial started.
Dawn worked all the bits and pieces of information into a plan to free her brother. Jaiden played a key role in this, too, though both were still incredibly young. Neither Priscilla or Gregoire or Anida had a clue what was going on between Dawn and Jaiden--all their attention was focused on Mordred's trial.
The day before the trial would be closed, Dawn, Jaiden, and Mordred launched their plans. All three were summoned to court--Jaiden and Dawn to watch and for Mordred to be persecuted.
Right before the court started, Dawn launched her plan.
Both Dawn and Jaiden excused themselves from the stands on different pretenses, minutes apart. They met up again in the hall that Mordred would be lead through, the patronuses they had worked on so feverishly during those few weeks they had time to plan cast. A grim and a large, black crow waited for the dementors and their brother.
They did arrive and the dementors were warded off. Dawn returned Mordred's stolen wand to him--the Ministry could not break it until the guilty verdict was finalized. A colossal black anaconda was added to the ring of patronuses and, moments later, Dawn handed out the polyjuice potion.
At regular intervals of five minutes, Astoria Greengrass exited the Ministry and waited on the cobblestone streets and waited patiently for Max Bulstrode and Cyrus Borgin to follow suit. All was going well--until the polyjuice potion wore out much too fast, and Jaiden, Dawn, and Mordred stood, exposed and vulnerable on the street right in front of the Ministry's entrance.
Ministry officals and aurors hot in pursuit, Mordred, Dawn, and Jaiden fled. They only made it so far before they hit a dead end in an alley and awaited their fast oncoming fates--Mordred barely had enough time to cast a disillusionment charm on Jaiden before the aurors caught up with them.
As fast as she was, Dawn easily erected three protego shields around them to protect them from the multiple 'stupefy's coming their way. The shields were strong, but would not hold against some of the more powerful and much more advanced spells that the experienced arousers were using.
And then again, Mordred demonstrated how fatally smart he was.
Mortimer Flint apparated between Dawn and Mordred, taking both of their arms in a hold. Jaiden was still under the disillusionment--no one, Mortimer or the aurors, knew he was there.
In that moment, Mordred earned his famed surname, 'Deadlocke'. He glared at the aurors so fiercely in that second, their eyes were in a deadlock with his.
And then, they apparated away, leaving stunned aurors and a lone Jaiden behind.
Slowly, the aurors trickled away, and Jaiden could slip away. He caught a plane back to Italy, as he could not apparate yet, and rested up.
The next day's Daily Profit showed how things had ended up.
Dawn had been seen, along with Mortimer Flint, and were now listed as accomplices. It meant that Dawn could not come home to Italy, and that Mortimer was now a felon.
Days later, right before Jaiden was due to return to Hogwarts, he got a letter, carried by a jet black owl. The letter did not have a signature, but instead a incredibly detailed ink drawing of a raven on it with a snake coiled around it, with a raised head and bared fangs.
The letter told Jaiden in code, so that no one else but him would know what it means, that Dawn and Mordred and Mortimer were in the states, working with a huge gang there. Mordred was a big name there, too, and was already climbing his way up through the gang's ranks. It said not to worry, and to go back to school and that they would be in touch.
Haha. Right.
They expected him to be a good little boy.
Bullshit.
~~~~
Jaiden visited his brother and sister two summers after that and was astounded to find that Mordred was, in fact, the head of this large wizarding gang that went by the name of The Concrete. Dawn had taken up the second in command, and Mortimer was the third.
That memorable summer, Jaiden got his tattoo of his angel's wings on his back, an ironic symbol. The wings were done in black and gray, so as to show that he is tainted.
Dawn has much the same tattoo, only they are a crow's wings, jet black and glossy tattooed over her thin waist.
Mordred has a massive black anaconda that circles his back , coils around his right arm, and slides down his waist on to his hips. The snakes head is tattooed across his throat, it's mouth open and it's enlarged fangs bared. It's lethal black eyes are fixed on the broken, black heart on the other side of his neck. In white script, the heart has siphoned across it;
My hands turn angel's wings from white to grey to black. I have ruined so many lives, but remorse is what I lack. [/li][/ul] --------------------------------- (( solong&goodnight )) ooc. allow me to introduceJ.A.I.D.E.N.U P D A T E DI've Told You This Once Before: You Can't Control Me.
If You Try and Take Me Down, You're Going to Break. ' ' name: Jaiden Dragos Scabior.
' ' age: December Twentieth; Eighteen
' ' gender: Male.
' ' year: Seventh Year. Jaiden is eighteen, one year above the seventh year standard age. He knows this, as does most everyone else who is not new to Hogwarts; Jaiden was arrested on the charge of murder in November of last year, and had not been released in time to catch up from months of missed school. So, he has been forced to retake it over again. He forced himself - there is no one keeping him there. His father is dead - from his own hand - and his mother is more of a rich train wreck. She has her own desperate problems to worry about, and not one of them have anything to do with her criminal son. His older sister died while he was in Azkaban, and his older brother has taken Jaiden's place in his cell so that Jaiden may walk free.
So, Jaiden is retaking his seventh year over again, even though the chances of getting a job are extremely doubtful, and the torture from his fellow Hogwartians, he suffers through one more year. But the way Jaiden sees it, this is freedom - the other kids have no idea what it means to breathe clean air and have a bed to sleep in at night with readily made food on the table. They have no idea at all.
' ' birthplace: In a mansion in Italy, to a woman named Anida Scabior.
' ' ethnicity: Italian/Caucasian
' ' blood: His blood is pure.
' ' relatives: Gregoire Scabior. [ a wealthy business man that had a shady disposition in life; it was common knowledge he was not faithful to his family or wife, and is often said that he deserved the brutal death he was given.] Anida Scabior. [Gregoric's fourth wife is wasting away up in the mountains of Italy, in her uselessly dead husband's mansion. She's, as said before, a train wreck - drugs, cigarettes, and men are all a part of her daily diet.] Mordred Deadlocke/ Royce Lot Scabior. [Jaiden's oldest sibling is one of the worst criminals to ever curse the earth with his unwanted presence. He's Italian, but the Concrete, the ruthless gang he commands, is based in America. Of course, it expands its dark hands to carress the rest of the world, and not a day goes by that the adults express their thanks that he is currently locked up in Azkaban - although, the hardcore realistic people face the awful truth: 'he got out once, he can do it again'.] The Raven/Dawn Prince. [this girl is easily the most forgotten of the Scabior household. Of Gregoric's many mistresses, Priscilla Prince was one of them the bore his child. She was before Jaiden, but after Mordred - the middle child. She is not as beautiful as either of her half-brothers, but she is easily the most stragetic. This woman was a genuis in her own time. She ruled the Conrete at her brother's right side, always the one mapping out he plans for all of their futures. Of course, Dawn's (or her Cocrete persona, the Raven) dreams died with her in the December of the year before. Jaiden and Mordred still hold a grudge against the Ministry workers that prolonged her suffering, and Jaiden says that they will be his third and final murders.]
' ' pets: Jaiden doesn't own any pets. If he did have one, the cruel children that plague him would undoubtedly target the poor animal and use it as a device to taunt him. He does not wish this on any innocent creature, even as cold hearted as he is.
Of course, his brother, Mordred, had an owl. Secubus mirrors his master - the bird is harsh and cold, and hates affection to the utmost degree. Don't pet him, don't touch him - just igve him the letter, tell him where to go, and he'll be back as soon as possible. Jaiden, in essence, takes care of the animal but only so it is minimal. Secubus stays in the Owelry, where Jaiden only visits when he needs something of him. This is for both of their good, and neither seem to have a problem with it.
' ' wand type:
Elm with Dragon Heartstring
Elm is good with any magic working, and revolves around strength. It has the ability to add stability and grounding to a spell. Elm does extremely well in dark arts, epseacially in spells that can bring irreversible material damage. It is known to dull the senses and cause depression and darkness, and is often used when dealing with the shadows.
Keywords; strength, stability, grounding, foundation, rigid structure, darkness, pressure, blind rage, devotion, loyalty to friends, dark passion, fighting to the last.
Wand description
The wand is extremely strong. It's ideal for combat and strength-based spells, and not for the 'creative' purposes. This is one of the rare wands that suits perfectly for the dark arts.
I do not take credit for this description; all credit should go here. a.p.p.e.a.r.a.n.c.e ' ' picture: Jaiden ' ' hair colour: It changes, from blond to black, or sometimes a mixture of both. Of course, this is not natural. His real color is solid black, but Jaiden enjoys messing around with his hair - it's crazy colored, like him. And he likes it that way. ' ' eye colour: Jaiden's eyes a re a coal black. They're cold and harsh, and defy any will to show emotion. They hardly ever change from their closed, rock solid look, unless he wishes them otherwise. Which, my dears, is not very often.' ' build: Jaiden is tall, around six four. He's lean through the hips, and has long legs, but he is not at all scrawny. He was in shape before he went to Azkaban, but when he was actually in his cell, he had some serious time to come up with things to do that helped keep his sanity intact. One of these techniques was an extreme work out regimen that kept him busy and active. His body differed when he was admitted to and released from jail - he was thin but built then, but now, he's grown about a half of a foot and his arms, abs, legs, and general body is thick with muscle. He did not quit this routine when he went back to school - if anything, he doubled it. When you have no friends (or the friends you do, you don't want to get taunted because they hung out with you), and you had done your homework, what else was he supposed to do? ' ' skin tone: Jaiden is very pale, but if he were any tanner, he wouldn't look nearly as apetizing. Jaiden's fair skin suits him.' ' height: He went into Azkaban around sx foot, and came out six four. ' ' dress style: Jaiden is a wizard of pureblood nobility, but unlike the rest of his family, you can find him in muggle clothing a lot of the time. Jaiden goes for the punk rock style. He doesn't wear tight pants all that often, but usually he has chains hanging off of him, and his hair styled in the general punk way. Leather studded bracelets, black, and graphic Ts are Jaiden's sort of genre. But when he does wear wizarding robes, they are usually black with - possibly - a different color trim. Anything else on him makes him look outrageous. ' ' specifics: Jaiden looks as if he is friend-less, a complete and total opposite of the previous year. He was the sort of popular bad boy the year before, but he stepped over the line into crime. This, it seemed, was the limit -a lot of people broke off, and tried to disassociate themselves with him. If Jaiden is feeling particularly viscious, he'll call them out on it. Sometimes, he'll look at them big ignore it, his eyes conveying either the hell he wish he could give them, or how much he really doesn't care about them anymore.
Also, it is common knowledge, that if Jaiden gets in even one fight, he's out of the school. This became immediately apparent when he didn't go after the people who came up and yelled at him for killing Royce King. Jaiden endured, often faking being disinterested or bored by their desperate shouts, or he would walk away. And when they'd follow, he'd just suffer through it. So, basically, Jaiden is fair game for any sort of torment people wish upon him - he's being forced, on punishment of taking away his only home, to render himself incapable of defening himself magically and physically from any onslaught that comes at him. ' ' other: Jaiden wears plugs in his ears, though not the huge ones. Just the small ones that are usually covered by his long hair. Also, Scabior's tongue is pierced, a little silver ball in the middle. And then there is his eyebrow piercing. Jaiden has enough metal in his body to make going through an airport quite a hassle.
Ah. And the souvenir from his brother. There are a pair of angel's wings tattooed onto Jaiden's back, stretching from his shoulders down to his lower back. He got it last summer.
Also, just as a side note, Jaiden can crack almost any Gang Bone--i.e. his back, his shoulders, his neck. He can do it all when he wants, and how many ever times he wishes to. It will probably lead to arthritis eventually, but Jaiden is still trying to come up with a place that he might survive in to live next year.
However, the only exception to this ability is his knuckles on his left hand. The bones are broken at the knuckle, and in his palm, and one splintered piece sticks up at a severely odd angle on the top of his hand. This is very obvious, as it pulls the skin into an acute position; it doesn't hurt as much anymore, only when he happens to slam something on his hand, like a door. And then it starts hurting like a bitch.
[/blockquote] on the o.u.t.s.i.d.e ' ' sexual orientation: Jaiden is straight, as most know from the year before. He was big into the girls, and got around - he was infamous for his partying and his tendency to disappear with a girl (or girls) for hours at a time.
This year, however, it seems he hardly expresses any interest in women. This could be for several reasons - one, that Azkaban had a lasting effect on him; two, that anything he said to a girl could be used against him - the Prophet hounds him, the Ministry is watching him, and even the simplest of pick up-lines could be used as sexual harrassment; three, because Jaiden doesn's want to date anyone from the school, because they, like his friends, would be hated on by the majority of the school. None of these are for certain, and this remains a gossip topic that the Prophet helps along (Jaiden, since the murder of Royce King, has become one of their favored victims).
' ' self image: Jaiden refuses to awcknowledge himself in any sort of positive light. It only makes things worse when he examines his faults, and worse is not something that he generally needs right now.
' ' the outward eye: Jaiden is the weird one, the oddity. It's not everyday you go to school with a presumed murderer, and it's not everyday that you actually talk with him. So Jaiden remains the willing outcast - he's teased in the worst ways, he's roughed up without defending himself, and he is without friends that see him in public. He is by himself, a complete and total loner. And, the way people have been treating him lately, he has every reason to shun any and every person.
' ' social status: Jaiden is the social creep - he very rarely talks unless spoken to, and he does not participate in anything social. It usually ends up in trouble for him, which he already has enough of, thank you very much.
[/li][li] Loses Focus/Intensity; As a side effect of Azkaban, Jaiden has focus lapses and rushes. He can either be doing something one minute and zone completely out and just stare at the paper or whatever is in front of him, or he can be completely obsessed with one thingor another. It's troublesome, to say the least, but Jaiden is working on it. [/li][li] Sleep; Jaiden can't sleep anymore. This means, instead of going to his dorm, where even Slytherins turned on him, he wanders the halls or goes to the Kitchens to nab a bit of dinner. He never eats dinner in the Great Hall anymore - he's unwelcome, and bad things usually end up happening. So, he goes to the kitchens, and eats there, after everyone else is asleep. He has made good friends with the elves (a terrible thing to do as a pureblood, he is told) but honestly does not care what other people say about it. His nightmares are of the most terrible sort, and cannot be described - they haunt him even when he wakes. For this reason, he resembles the living dead in the day, with mauve circles underneath his eyes. ' ' positive traits:
[/li][li] Indifference; Most of the time, Jaiden will ignore anything that was said about him. Unlike most arrogant bastards, he couldn't give a **** about whether you like him or not, what you say about him. He tries not to care about too many people, as that usually leads to getting them hurt, too. You never know had bad teenagers can be until you've killed one of their friends. [/li][li] Able to Maintain a Love/Hate Relationship; Jaiden knows how to balance mixed feelings for someone quite well. He himself changes frequently, and it is oftentimes him that invokes the hate bit of the relationship, when he has any sort of relationship with anyone at all. [/li][li] Witty; Wit is something that Jaiden is chock full of. Snappy retorts are quite common and smart insults are Jaiden's forte. He's one of those people you avoid getting into a verbal battle at all costs. He won't fight you anymore, but he sure knows how to put you in your place - that much hasn't changed. [/li][li] Calm; Since his return from Azkaban, Jaiden has had some sort of calm feel about him. Not laidback, as he is always on his guard; god forbid that he let it down. The consequences would not be the best for him. He's just calm, seeming unperturbed by most everything. [/li][li] Empathetic; Jaiden understands. He's been through most everything - an abusive father, a drugged-up mother, a summer in the Concrete with his brother, planning yet another way to hurt the Ministry with his sister, murdered a family member, seen one of his best friends get nearly raped, been put under the Cruciactus Curse, and gone to Azkaban for nearly six months. In his opinion, he's been through quite a bit. It's no wonder he's so messed up. [/li][li] Self control; This was only acquired recently. After he got out of Azkaban, he needed to pull himself in, and get a hold on himself. No more blind rage or impulsive decisions - he had his life and freedom at risk. If he got it under control, he could breathe fresh air, away from Azkaban. If he didn't he'd be forced to back, to smelling rotting corpses and thinking of nothing but despair. It was for this reason Jaiden got in charge of himself - so far, he has not slipped up. [/li][li] Works; Everyone knew Jaiden didn't do his homework. He was infamous for turning in tests completely blank and answering a question in class with a nasty insult or smart aleck comment. It was his thing - people even started saying, 'I don't want to pull a Jaiden; I have to get my work done.' So it surprised everyone when, this year, he arrived and was spotted doing homework out on the grounds. (Of course, that same homework was snatched and ruined in the Black Lake, but they saw him do it.) Jaiden started studying, or attempting to. Attempting to because it is completely and totally unknown to everyone but himself that Jaiden can't read. This puts a dent in his study habits and homework, but it has been that way forever. He just can't read - and other people think it's because he's either stupid (which, let me tell you, he is not) or just does not care. ' ' negative traits:
[/li][li] Violence; Jaiden prefers to go into violence above all else--it is the universal solvent to him. You win, you lose--easy as that. And this universal solvent is, sadly, used quite frequently around him. Or used to. Since he returned to Hogwarts, he isn't permitted to deck you. But, hey, he can only be held back for a year. And this guy has a long memory. [/li][li] Drinking; Jaiden drinks underage, but he doesn't honestly care. He's got more to worry about than a few simple illeagl shots. [/li][li] Unfaithful; Unfortunately, Jaiden lacks loyalty to a lover. He's had up to five girlfriends before, at the same time, and has cheated on a great number of them. He will do so without question, and is quite sadly, immune to other's feelings. However, he hasn't dated since he had gotten back from Azkaban. In all reality, he hasn't even touched a girl in that way. It's beginning to worry some people - or the few that watch him, like his scanty friends, or know him well enough to know that is not of the norm. [/li][li] Just Doesn't Care; Others have feelings, yes, but Jaiden plainly does not care. Unless they are his friends, they are tools. Simply made for him to use and bend to his will, to make them bend until they snap. And when they snap--oh, that's when the fun begins. [/li][li] Manipulative; Jaiden likes to get what he wants, when he wants it. He is crafty, very smart and cunning, and knows all the tricks in the book. This also works for blackmail, bribing, the whole bit. If he wants it, you best believe he is gonna get it. [/li][li] Smoking; Jaiden got addicted to nicotine when he was fourteen, right after he spent a month with his brother in the States. His parents noticed this, and his mother disapproves, and his father doesn't give a rip. So Jaiden smokes, uninhibited, when he is at home. At Hogwarts, though, his smoking time is downsized and it gives him yet another reason to hate the school. [/li][li] Sarcastic; On the rare occasion someone does get on his nerves and he is in a foul enough mood to say something about it, it's sarcasm. Jaiden is the king of sarcasm. He knows how to use it to it's fullest, and takes most any opportunity to practice his already wonderful sarcasm skills. Be careful what you say around him--unlike most people, if he uses sarcasm, Jaiden's tone of voice will not change, leaving you wondering of he was serious or if he was kidding. It makes a lovely starter for him to mess around with your mind. ' ' skills:
[/li][li]Jaiden, unknown to the common person, is trilangual. He learned Italian from being around his Italian servants and maids and cooks - after nearly eleven years of hearing it, he became fluent. He knows English as his base language. French was added to the collection when he went to the Conrete for a summer. You had to learn French when that was all that your sister, one of the Concrete Elite, spoke to you in. [/li][li] Jaiden's combat skills are off the charts. He knows this, but they are not much use to him this year. He cannot physically or magically hurt someone under threat of being expelled. ' ' history: Gregoire Scabior was infamous for getting around. He usually had three or four girlfriends at a time, though he was married to Anida Yaxley.
One of his girlfriends, Daphne, it seemed, turned out to be his sister. They did not know this until te poor woman had a child and had to get tests for who the father was--it was then that they realized that Gregoire and the Daphne were siblings. Disgusted with herself, Daphne fled and dumped the child on Gregoire and his wife.
Anida, the woman that Gregoire was married to, was already bitter from her husband's past betrayals. That he now had a child by another woman--his sister, for god's sakes--absolutely repulsed her. She hated the child the first time she saw it. So Anida named him Royce Lot, after the vengeful king in Le Morte de Arthur that was conceived between Arthur and his own sister.
Now humiliated, Gregoire all but ignored his incestuous son. Sure, he was fed and housed, but only to the point to keep him alive. Royce grew up tough, hardened by years of being ignored.
Two years later, another child was born to Priscilla Prince. The little girl was named Dawn and was given Priscilla's last name. Anida never allowed the child to step inside her home, though, and Priscilla kept Dawn to herself.
Royce and Dawn would sneak out at night, though, to meet in secret and plan. They were young, but both were dangerously smart and wanted to escape the poor treatment they received in their famalies' households.
Their plans were further complicated, though, by another child. On the twentieth of December, Anida Yaxley Scabior had her first son, Jaiden.
Royce and Jaiden got along quite well--as they grew, any person could tell they looked quite a bit like each other, and even a little bit of their father. Royce and Jaiden were practically inseparable--Royce watched over his little brother inconspicuously, and Jaiden strove to be more like his brother than should be normal.
But, at eleven, Royce left their mansion in Italy to go to Hogwarts. His father had wanted his eldest son to attend Durmstrang, but Anida, in a brief spurt of caring, said that he would make no connections at Durmstrang that would do him any good when he returned home. Gregoire, seeing the reason in his wife's logic, conceded grudgingly, and sent his first son away, leaving Dawn and Jaiden behind.
Hogwarts, it seems, could not handle him.
Not only did Royce ace all of his classes {straight O's}, but he left his mark on Hogwarts itself. Many times, a teacher would catch one of the Slytherins that was closely associated to Royce in some act of treason against the school. They knew that Royce was behind it, though they could never link him to the crime that expelled so many of his friends expelled. Once such example was Mortimer Flint--he was expulsed for reasons that were kept under wraps and known only by the professors of the school, Royce, and Flint's accomplices that never returned from Flint's expedition.
When the profesors tried to catch him red handed, they would turn up empty--sure, they would catch the culprits, but not the mastermind. Royce would be lounging in the Slytherin Common Room when one of the professors came in, utterly relaxed with his infamous smirking on his face, and reading Le Morte de Arthur.
Le Morte de Arthur slowly became associated with Royce, even back at home. People saw the similarities between Mordred and Royce--the incestuous birth, the cunning and vengeful nature, the will to bend others to follow him. Gradually, Royce slowly became known as Mordred.
And then, in his sixth year, Mordred was arrested on the charges of murder. He was senteced to twenty years in Azkaban, and back at home, a fifteen year old Dawn and a fourteen year old Jaiden were furious.
They would not leave their brother to rot in Azkaban--it would ruin everything, prove everyone right that Mordred was no good, only an embarrassment to the Scabior household. Both Dawn and Jaiden knew that Mordred hated that, and would absolutely despise the Ministry for proving Anida and countless others right.
But Dawn was cunning. She was on Christmas holidays from Durmstrang, and at home with Jaiden, who was also at home for break. There, they planned, all while the trial was going on--all three siblings knew the verdict was set before even the trial started.
Dawn worked all the bits and pieces of information into a plan to free her brother. Jaiden played a key role in this, too, though both were still incredibly young. Neither Priscilla or Gregoire or Anida had a clue what was going on between Dawn and Jaiden--all their attention was focused on Mordred's trial.
The day before the trial would be closed, Dawn, Jaiden, and Mordred launched their plans. All three were summoned to court--Jaiden and Dawn to watch and for Mordred to be persecuted.
Right before the court started, Dawn launched her plan.
Both Dawn and Jaiden excused themselves from the stands on different pretenses, minutes apart. They met up again in the hall that Mordred would be lead through, the patronuses they had worked on so feverishly during those few weeks they had time to plan cast. A grim and a large, black crow waited for the dementors and their brother.
They did arrive and the dementors were warded off. Dawn returned Mordred's stolen wand to him--the Ministry could not break it until the guilty verdict was finalized. A colossal black anaconda was added to the ring of patronuses and, moments later, Dawn handed out the polyjuice potion.
At regular intervals of five minutes, Astoria Greengrass exited the Ministry and waited on the cobblestone streets and waited patiently for Max Bulstrode and Cyrus Borgin to follow suit. All was going well--until the polyjuice potion wore out much too fast, and Jaiden, Dawn, and Mordred stood, exposed and vulnerable on the street right in front of the Ministry's entrance.
Ministry officals and aurors hot in pursuit, Mordred, Dawn, and Jaiden fled. They only made it so far before they hit a dead end in an alley and awaited their fast oncoming fates--Mordred barely had enough time to cast a disillusionment charm on Jaiden before the aurors caught up with them.
As fast as she was, Dawn easily erected three protego shields around them to protect them from the multiple 'stupefy's coming their way. The shields were strong, but would not hold against some of the more powerful and much more advanced spells that the experienced arousers were using.
And then again, Mordred demonstrated how fatally smart he was.
Mortimer Flint apparated between Dawn and Mordred, taking both of their arms in a hold. Jaiden was still under the disillusionment--no one, Mortimer or the aurors, knew he was there.
In that moment, Mordred earned his famed surname, 'Deadlocke'. He glared at the aurors so fiercely in that second, their eyes were in a deadlock with his.
And then, they apparated away, leaving stunned aurors and a lone Jaiden behind.
Slowly, the aurors trickled away, and Jaiden could slip away. He caught a plane back to Italy, as he could not apparate yet, and rested up.
The next day's Daily Profit showed how things had ended up.
Dawn had been seen, along with Mortimer Flint, and were now listed as accomplices. It meant that Dawn could not come home to Italy, and that Mortimer was now a felon.
Days later, right before Jaiden was due to return to Hogwarts, he got a letter, carried by a jet black owl. The letter did not have a signature, but instead a incredibly detailed ink drawing of a raven on it with a snake coiled around it, with a raised head and bared fangs.
The letter told Jaiden in code, so that no one else but him would know what it means, that Dawn and Mordred and Mortimer were in the states, working with a huge gang there. Mordred was a big name there, too, and was already climbing his way up through the gang's ranks. It said not to worry, and to go back to school and that they would be in touch.
Haha. Right.
They expected him to be a good little boy.
Bullshit.
Jaiden visited his brother and sister two summers after that and was astounded to find that Mordred was, in fact, the head of this large wizarding gang that went by the name of The Concrete. Dawn had taken up the second in command, and Mortimer was the third.
That memorable summer, Jaiden got his tattoo of his angel's wings on his back, an ironic symbol. The wings were done in black and gray, so as to show that he is tainted.
Dawn has much the same tattoo, only they are a crow's wings, jet black and glossy tattooed over her thin waist.
Mordred has a massive black anaconda that circles his back , coils around his right arm, and slides down his waist on to his hips. The snakes head is tattooed across his throat, it's mouth open and it's enlarged fangs bared. It's lethal black eyes are fixed on the broken, black heart on the other side of his neck. In white script, the heart has siphoned across it;
My hands turn angel's wings from white to grey to black. I have ruined so many lives, but remorse is what I lack.
Jaiden, in his first seventh year, made it to November before he got himself in serious trouble. He hadn't been doing anything, at first - just wandering the halls, like he always did at night, even before he was visited by the night terrors. Muffled pleas caught his attention, as did around six figures in a hall he had just passed. He backtracked, and was immediately infuriated by what he had seen.
Hadyn, his ex girlfriend and bestfriend, was pinned against the wall, half naked. Royce King, a fellow Slytherin, had her pinned against the wall with his hand up her skirt. Guessing from Hadyn's tears, she didn't like her predicament too much. Around five other giant-sized guys were crowded around, either watching the show or keeping a lookout.
Blinded by rage, Jaiden went on to kill Mister King by stomping on his throat. The others dispersed as soon as they saw Jaiden - he was famous for what he could do, and once he began to beat on Royce, they ran. Once or twice, they attempted to help out King, but each time was denied by one of Jaiden's flying fists. Hadyn was curled up as the horror scene unfolded before her, trying to make herself small against the wall.
Once King was rid of, Jaiden took Hadyn to the Room of Requirement. He hadn't wanted to, but he had to leave her to hide King's body. Hadyn had lasting damage, but it was repaired with time - however, Jaiden took the brunt of the killing. Once the body was found, so was Jaiden's blood from breaking his hand when he punched King. He was convicted, and the next morning, a story was printed in the Prophet that only Hadyn knew to be false.
It read that Jaiden's motives was jealousy. He found Royce and Hadyn in the halls, got jealous, and killed Royce and hurt Hadyn. hadyn tearfully denied comment at the trials, and Jaiden was thought to be doomed to Azkaban for the rest of his life.
Until Mordred, his older brother, stepped in.
Mordred bargained with the people he hated to get his brother out of jail. As the secret proceedings went on, Jaiden counted the days. Eventually, he began to think that Mordred had given up on him, which he resigned and accepted himself to. Months passed, one by one, until the tenth month when Jaiden was on the very brink of insanity.
The cell stayed the same, but the inhabitor switched - instead of a Hogwart's student, it contained a serial killer of the worst kind. Mordred Deadlocke.
And Jaiden -- he could finally breathe again.
---
When Jaiden reurned home, it was to his father's absence. His mother was of no hope; she was high, as per usual. He waited for his father's return for nearly a week, and, just as Jaiden expected, disaster struck when the eldest Scabior did.
'I forsake you, Jaiden,' was the first thing his father said to him. 'You are no longer a Scabior, or my son.'
Jaiden got angry. This, obviously, was meant as an excuse to disown him. He tried to reason with Grigore, but there was to be no negotions - like his son, Geogore had a temper. It ended with a wand pointed at Jaiden, and a Cruciatus Curse shouted. Jaiden endured several minuites of extreme agony, never knowing if he screamed or not; the pain blinded him. He passed out somewhere in the expanse of the curse.
When he came to, his father was standing over him.
But, moments later, they had switched places. His father, however, unlike Jaiden, was not breathing. ' ' roleplay sample: --Dear Diary
I told you I wasn't a writing sort of guy. And I'm not going to go apologize to a damn stupid, lifeless book, so don't hold your breath. Not that you have any breath to hold, anyway. Not the point, though.
So, I'll just go onto what I was recently thinking about. Today, I went a serious remember roll.
It was like a big boulder or something - it rolls, and there's no way to stop it. Or a movie without a stop button, a car without breaks - once it started, there was no going back. It just kept on crashing through all the walls that I had erected, to keep those same memories away. It was pretty bad. Though, it did have a few good parts. There were a few highlights in there that made me smile some when I thought about it. Mostly, however, it was things that I would rather leave behind.
I was watching some first years out on the lawns. They reminded me of it. Really weird deja vu - walking by, and looking over to see close to the exact same scene you saw years ago, only with older kids.
A couple of first years had stolen this kid's hat. When the other kid yanked it off the boy's head, the boy fell over backwards. He didn't try to get the hat back, or even to stand up. He just sat there and started to cry. And then the other kid, the one with the hat, came back and shook his head. 'Don't be such a Roxwell', he said. Which definitely caught my attention.
And this whole thing started. I went back to when I was, like, six. Kids have to go somewhere before Hogwarts, right? Well, I did. One of those premiere schools, the big one, with a year's tuition more costly than some family's house payments. I still remember what the hell hole was called. 'Goff's Academy for the Gifted'. The gifted part just sounded nice, I guess, or when they said 'gifted', they meant money bags. They didn't look at grades - they looked at how big your house was.
Somehow, people get this ludicrous idea that the rich kids in the rich school have life perfect. They don't have to worry about a thing. They call you 'rich kid' like it's an insult. Well, everyone, saying that rich kids don't have it bad is complete and total bullshit.
It could have been worse, I admit. But this was bad enough for me. I was a pitiful little kid. The really quiet one that sat alone at lunch, the one dude who sits in the back, and the other kids avoid like a freaking leper. Yeah, that was me. I was the little loser.
There were these two guys who were a little bigger than me, and more loud. Hard to believe, I know, but I was different then. Their names, I think, were something like Cade and Alex. They always picked on me and stuff. Called me names, pushed me around - I put up with it. I mean, I cried - what little kid don't cry? But, for the most part, I put up with it. Since I was six, I let the other rich kids push me around and insult me. Gradually, I got used to it. I didn't cry anymore. They pushed me down, I got back up. The called me dipshit, I ignored it. They talked about me to other people, I kept walking. They laughed, I didn't look at them. They took my things, I pretended not to notice.
I was the outcast. You know, the guy whose name they always put at the end of a diss. Like 'don't be such a Jaiden' or 'you're acting like a Scabior'. Heard it all the time.
It went on like that for a while. No one was there to be protective over me - Mordred was at a lower ranking school, less expensive. Anida didn't think he was worthy enough to go to Goff's. And Dawn wouldn't even dream of going to my school. She was a Prince, and the Prince's money compared to the Scabior's was miniscule. So there was no one there to shield me and help me along - I was by myself. Me, myself, and I.
But I could handle it, or seemed to. I was an introvert in those days - didn't talk, never socialized. I was the quiet kid. I was like that until I was around eight or nine. That was when Alex and Cade started getting violent, in a little kid way.
We were coming in from recess, I think, and they cornered me. The teacher couldn't see us, of course. Alex and Cade weren't brave enough to sock me with an adult around. We were out of sight, around the bend. I was against the wall, they were squared off in front of me. They had their hands raised, and I knew what was coming. So I got ready for it.
When the teacher found the three of us, I was in the act of ramming my fist into Alex's face. I had already hit Cade. Alex went down and - well, like Cade, he didn't get back up.
So that was the start of my bad boy rep. Alex and Cade left me alone after that. A few others tried to bully me around, but that didn't work out too well for them. I kicked their little kid asses, and they steered clear. I was still the outcast, but I was the dangerous one. Still no one got near me, but not because they were afraid to catch the loser disease. They were scared they would be beat up. I found that funny. Still do.
My rep followed me. The whole school knew, even the older kids. They would point and say 'that's the dude'. And I would smirk and keep walking, like always.
It's still the same, even at Hogwarts. I'm that guy. I won't talk, but I'll sort of smile, and keep going. Vain, someone would say. Arrogant.
But that person would be only half right. Arrogant, yes. Vain, no.
There's a difference. Arrogant is when people see you, and see that you have a very high self confidence, or that's what you make them think. It's never your fault, not ever. And they hate to be slighted. That's what they think, make them think. That's what you put off. You seem like you like yourself. Seem to.
Vain is when you actually like yourself. And I, damned lifeless stupid book, do not like myself.
There is a difference.
Arrogant? Yes. Vain? No. A loser? No. An outcast? Yes.
But, arrogant, vain, a loser or an outcast, I'm still that dude.
So you better damn well deal with it. this ain't M.E. ' ' name:Ally, Anime, whatever-you-wanna-call-me. =]' ' character playby:Alex McKee ' ' other characters:Erm.
