personality.
personality.
First Impression»» [/b]
At first glance, Ana looks like a total gentle, meek, sweetheart. That is until that knowing smirk crosses her face and the mixed knowledge of having completed Auror training added to young rashness appears. She’s a powerful girl, and she knows it. This is part of the reason she was chosen for the undercover mission. If all came to par, she could defend herself quite well, unlike most of her graduating class. Ana was the only fresh Auror who could handle it.
Self Image»» [/b]
Usually, Ana’s pretty comfortable in her own skin. At school in the Americas, she was the sporty girl who made decent grades. They were good enough to get her in the English auror training academy, so she’s pretty proud of herself for that fact. It comes through in her posture and tone of voice.
Positive Traits»» [/b]
- Brave. Ana is not the type to leave a man behind. She’d pull a Forrest Gump in the blink of an eye to get wounded out of the line of fire. Abandoning someone, even a body, is strongly against her moral code.
- Actress. You could call it lying, Ana calls it twisting the story. She can come up with a story and make it plausible at the drop of a hat. Anything from excuses to her new fake history, she can lie then successfully keep up with it. She knows just how to make it seem genuine. This is one of the main reasons she was chosen.
- Compassionate. Ana’s the type to feel for everyone, even the enemy. She allows herself to see both sides of a situation, there is no such thing as black and white. You could really almost call her a hippie with her close to tree-hugging tendencies. However, she doesn’t believe in vegetarianism. Ana believes there is a natural food chain to everything, and that if all humans converted to plants, the animal population would grow too large. She says it’s the same reason why predators like sharks, bears, and snakes exist. It’s their job to keep everything balanced.
- Quick-thinking. In the academy, Ana was the one people looked to when the simulations turned to shit and it looked too hard to figure their way out of. She can quickly analyze a situation and see an escape, or even a possible way to gain advantage and win. Strategy in the field was one of the areas she scored very highly in, shooting her up to the top three of her class.
- Intelligent. Ana isn’t classically intelligent, she’s more of a people person. When she’s having a conversation, she studies body movements, facial expressions, tones, everything. She was taught how to gauge whether a person is lying simply by the way they move their hands. Since she was little, she’d watch animals to figure out how they were going to react to things, and well, people aren’t that much different.
Negative Traits»» [/b]
- Prove Herself. Ana feels the need to prove herself to everyone who believes she is incapable of something. It pisses her off when someone passes judgment on her, and she then will do anything she can to prove them wrong.
- Liar. The girl’s a good actress, but sometimes she takes her lying too far. Even if she doesn’t want to, sometimes she’ll just lie about random things that she probably doesn’t have to. It’s a bad habit that’s extremely hard to break. However, in this situation, it might come in handy to be able to unconsciously lie through your teeth.
- Stubborn. ‘No’ is unacceptable. ‘Not possible’ is heresy. ‘Don’t’ is heavily cautioned against. Once the redhead has her heart set on something, she’s going to follow it through to the end. Unless you take a rock to her head or some tranquilizer to her body, there’s no way you’re stopping her. She’s like a tsunami. Even if you physically stop her, the minute she’s up and moving Ana will be back at it again.
- Distrustful. Because she lies herself, Ana doesn’t really trust anything someone tells her. She’ll analyze the hell out of something before she believes it, aided by her skills in watching a person’s body movements.
- Romantic. Not ‘lovey-dovey’ romantic, Romantic as in the nineteenth century movement. Ana’s a liar and is not one to trust, but she still believes everyone has good in them, and that good will always triumph over evil. It’s naive, and she hasn’t yet accepted that sometimes the bad guys get it in the end.
Likes»» [/b]
- Peanut butter.
If she could, the redhead would live off peanut butter sandwiches. - Puzzles.
They’re a mental challenge, and anything from strategic board games to crosswords to jigsaws can keep her busy. - Acting.
She likes trying on different personalities. - England.
So much different from home. - Cows.
Childhood experiences. - James.
Her Department partner and first friend in England, she’s got a soft spot for her adoptive sibling. - Earthy colors.
Ana’s an earthy type of person, she likes to surround herself with browns and greens and oranges and blues.
Dislikes»» [/b]
- Popcorn.
The taste is okay, but the kernels get stuck between her teeth and she hates it. - Being told she can’t do something.
It makes her want to do it more. - Bluegrass music.
It sounds like someone’s torturing a cat. - Being left out.
- Bright red.
She can’t explain why, but large amounts of the color give her a headache. - The Star Wars theme song.
It grates on her last nerve. Therefore, James hacked into her alarm clock and placed it blaring just to make her frown in the morning. It's still there while at Hogwarts, to keep a little bit of her best friend with her. - Hard-core Christians.
She gets tired of hearing about being forgiven and saved. Why should she be forgiven for being human? - Hot tea.
English people are nutty. It is supposed to be ICED and so sweet it'll knock the roof of your mouth off.
Amortentia»» [/b]
Long grass, leather, and hay. They remind her of home and her cousin.
Boggart»» [/b]
Her father outright saying he doesn’t love her.
Patronus»» [/b]
A bear. She’s strong and powerful, but still thinks things out.

appearance.
Height»» [/b]
5’6 and a half. The half is very important, you see.
Weight»» [/b]
130. Ana’s a lot of toned muscle.
Eye Color»» [/b]
Hazel.
Hair Color»» [/b]
Red.
Skin Color»» [/b]
Really pale. It bothers her.
Body Build»» [/b]
Athletic. Ana is small and rather lithe, but there’s core muscle underneath her slim form. She’s the first to challenge someone to an arm wrestle. Then win.
Nationality»» [/b]
American, originally from Texas. She doesn’t usually have much of an accent, but if she’s angry or tired it will occasionally appear.
Distinctive Features»» [/b]
Her bright red hair can easily pick her out of a crowd, and at the Ministry she’s often asked if she’s a Weasley (Who exactly is a Weasley? Sounds unpleasant.).
Other than that, she’s got a long scar up her right arm that resulted from an accident in the academy. There was a training mishap and someone fired a Sectumsempra at her by accident.
Dress Style»» [/b]
Ana’s normal style is a little bit rough and tumble. A plaid shirt, jeans, boots, etc. But seeing as her cover is a snooty pureblood, she’s switched her outfits to sophisticated blacks and whites and other such classic pieces.

She’s hoping to infiltrate the HoV and send intel back to the Aurors and the Order.

Well, she’s an Auror. So at heart she’s Order. But at Hogwarts, HoV.
Career Goal»» [/b]
Already achieved.
Taken Courses&Grades»» [/b]
- Ancient Runes :: E
- History of Magic :: A
- Potions :: O
- Defense Against the Dark Arts :: A
- Care of Magical Creatures :: O
- Astronomy :: A
Favorite Classes»» [/b]
Potions & Ancient Runes – They’re both like solving puzzles. And if you put a puzzle in front of Ana, she isn’t satisfied til she’s beaten it.
Care of Magical Creatures – She figured that normal animals and magical creatures are all still animals, and respond to the same techniques she grew up using. It actually works.
.
Hated Classes»» [/b]
Astronomy – She thinks it’s interesting, but Ana lacks patience enough to stare at the sky for that period of time with no clear, tangible results.
Defense Against the Dark Arts – She and whoever’s teaching it tend to disagree on the best methods of defense. Of course, she can’t actually say out loud how she thinks her strategies are much more effective from experience, but, believe me, she’s thinking it.

Past»» [/b]
Up until the age of seventeen, Ana lived with her family on a cattle ranch in Texas. She was practically raised on a horse with a shovel in her hand, mostly the reason she’s so willing to get down and dirty if she has to. In her family, she was closest to Jack, her father’s younger brother. Robert was very strict, and would have definitely preferred his only daughter to be more of the feminine type. Unfortunately, Ana was not. She would wrestle with Bill when they were nothing but toddlers, and win. William, like the rest of the family, is a well-built kid, but Ana was too fast and usually had him pinned in the mud, wild red hair sticking in all directions from its plait.
However, when she turned ten she was sent a letter by the equivalent of the Southern American Hogwarts, and her mother was forced to admit the secret she and her brother had been keeping. It ended up almost destroying the Parris marriage, and to this day Robert refuses to let either his wife or daughter use magic in front of him. He claims it is a mark against God, and Ana and her father have grown distant in the past years. The only one who truly accepted her was her cousin and childhood best friend, Bill, who even wanted to go with her to school. However, Bill didn’t live with her, and unless he or Jack was around, Robert started to treat Ana like an outcast after she refused to say no to attend the wizarding school. Jack tried to protect her, but Robert would have none of it. His daughter was supposed to be normal. There is a feud that exists between the two brothers to this day.
”You can’t keep treating your own daughter like this, Robert. She’s your kid.”
Ana had her back pressed against her bedroom door, knees drawn up to her chest. She hated to hear her uncle and father arguing over her. Jack was only trying to help, but she thought it made her father dislike her more. It was really only exacerbating things. She never cried because it wasn’t worth it, she could only hope time would travel faster and she could go back to school in late August. Eilene never fought Robert on leaving Ana alone, and frankly the girl was very angry at her mother for it. They were both witches, weren’t they? Yet, the older woman was sacrificing her own daughter so that her husband wouldn’t attack her instead. Johnny didn’t do anything either, he was a little too young to understand and too glamoured by his father to stand up for his sister.
Bill had said he’d come get her if she needed him, and she could live in his room and no one would ever know. But her father would. He wasn’t physically abusive, but the fact that she could tell he was disgusted by her was enough. For some insane reason she couldn’t comprehend, she had to please him. She had to show him that being a witch was not evil. Ana had to prove herself, even if she really didn’t see the necessity behind it.
Ana graduated from the school with above average marks and skills in Quidditch, when she applied for the Auror Training Academy in England. Since she had graduated and it was too late to convince her to go to a normal high school, the rift between her and her father had grown ever wider, and the redhead wanted out.
Six months later, she was completely settled in Wizarding London, attending her daily classes. Though, the American with the strong Texan accent suddenly felt like an outcast again, different from everyone else. However, she made a friend in the Academy, James, whose specialty was disguise. He knew how to cover up an accent, and tried to teach her everything he knew. The yang to his yin, the Academy started pairing them together for the practice missions. Ana was the brawn, James was the brains. Gradually she lost most of the contact with her family, making it easier to later assimilate into the fake identity. So there was only James left to put up a fight over the potentially dangerous mission. But the argument still stood that a girl usually found it easier to get into things they shouldn’t; if sheerly for looks. It still left her partner disgruntled and worried, but the Department managed to wrangle an oath out of him not to contact her and compromise her indentity.
”You cannot tell me you actually agreed to this!” James was in his classic angry schtick. He’d pace with wild hand movements for about five minutes until he got most of his venting out, upon which he’d then sit next to her, and try his debating skills at reasoning sense into her.
So Ana sat patiently, legs crossed, on her bed. She was folding clothes and putting them manually in the trunk the Department had issued her, for use while undercover.
“Yes, I did actually agree to this. I’m doing something, James. You know I would have never settled for those silly piddly jobs the Ministry keeps us entertained with. You’d think we were Muggle police. This is a challenge, James. I need to beat it.”
“Why? To prove what? I don’t understand it.”
It seemed her best friend was in a different mood that day. He was now sitting next to her, and was not ranting, yet, was not being logical either. That means he was genuinely worried, yet knew there was really nothing he could actually do.
“Hey, just, if anything goes haywire, promise to me that you’ll send a Patronus the minute anything bad happens? I don’t want your silly pride getting in the way. The very second your life is in danger, you better contact me. Hang the oath.”
Ana smiled. “I will.”
James. (Just in case you were curious)
