Surros the owl.
Surros is jet black, and the exact color of Mordred'd {Mordred, not Slade}'s hair. He has a solemn-ness about him that is not at all usual about owls, and has intelligent black eyes that seem to gleam. He has a cold, calculating look that seems oddly human, like he is actually thinking about you. It's creepy, really.
In some ways, Surros is a lot like his master. He is serious at times, aggressive, and fiercely loyal to the ones he loves. Of course, the ones he loves consist of only Mordred and Dawn [who has a strange affinity with brids] and is loyal to his master, and his master only. The last piece provides true to Dred, also.
Thing is, Mordred has no master he needs to obey.

personality.
personality.
First Impression»» [/b]
Mordred;
When you first see Mordred, it's like woah. He's completely contradictory in himself. He's got inked arms, neck, and back, and hands, earrings that go all the way up his right ear, starting from the lobe and ending at the very tip - he looks the part of a hardcore badass. He's got the impression of power - just the way he carries himself, the way he moves, the way he orients himself. It demands a certain respect. This also transitions his way to being sophisticated and charming.
Although, along with the sense of power, there is one of intimidation. Just by looking at him, you can tell he is dangerous. You can tell he gets his kicks by carnal pleasure - violence is entertaining to him. He finds it funny, even, and his amusement is even greate when he is the one causing all the violence. He is that way without even trying, which makes it worse. You know when you have someone who is effortlessly intimidating as a professor, something's gonna go wrong.
Slade;
Slade's appearance barely gives anything away. He's just one of those handsome teachers, the wallflower, the one that would prefer to blend into the crowd rather than by the center of attention.
Oh, how appearances can be decieving.
In reality, Mordred doesn't both with trying to change his personality to try and fit a different person and keep up the diguise. He knows that he would slip up at one point or another - so he concocted a fool proof way to escape that. Just be himself, excluding some of the language he uses routinely when around his gang friends and most of the violence.
Self Image»» [/b]
Mordred thinks of himself as smart - he knows he's positively cunning. He is arrogant, really, because he knows he is good looking, also. What can he say?
Positive Traits»» [/b]
- Loyal- Mordred and Slade are both loyal to their close friends. As in, they would take a bullet, get in the way of a Killing Curse, and die a slow, painful death. The thing is, he's dreadfully mistrusting and getting to be his friend is quite a feat.
- Witty - Mordred is chock full of little witty remarks. He won't hesitate to return easily, often visciously, though there is a few times when he says nice things - buried deep, deep, deep inside the remark so that you would have to be puzzling it over to get the compliment out of it. Aka - he'd leave you confused, walk away, and then have you realize that he was saying something nice to you. In other words, he would be on your mind until you saw him again. Of course, this can work both ways. He could, instead of giving you a compliment, insult you and be laughing about it as he walked away.
- Takes Care of Himself - Mordred knows how to take care of himself. Of course, this could also be put off as being selfish, but, hey, this man knows how to defend himself, keep himself looking good, and walk the tight line between suspisoun and getting found out. He's a sly one, that Dred.
- Smart - Mordred is very intelligent. He can produce long, complicated schemes that now he is bending into lessons for kids to enjoy. Of course, it also means he can rattle off intricate lies without blinking.
- A Quick Thinker - Mordred can very easily think things through in a spli second, take in all his options and then choose one, the best [or worst] route.
Negative Traits»» [/b]
- Selfish - Mordred thinks of Mordred first, almost all the time. Self preservation is high on his priority list.
- Mean/Cruel - Dred will prey on your weakest points, throw your worst moments right back in your face, and will most certainly not regret it. If it gets him what he wants, then it's all good. And if it's just for fun, than that's all the more better.
- Prideful - Dre is very egotistical. Insult him - or his incestuous birth - and you are practically asking him, "Mister Deadlocke? Will you please curse me into oblivion?"
- Knows How To Fool You - The cunning man knows how to mutilate appearances to make you think he is someone else. he is using this to his fool advantage at Hogwarts. He isn't a devious, auror-killing, Ministry hating, devastatingly infamous felon! Why, he's just the witty professor that teaches at Hogwarts. What harm could he possibly do?
- Evil - Mordred is, in all use of the word, evil. He doesn't really want anything out of it like the classic criminals - not world domination, not money, not a name, not reverence. He just enojoys it. He's the worst type of person there is. He's just evil because he likes to watch his surroundings burn.
Likes»» [/b]
- Watching people panic.
- Being the object of fear and suspicon.
- Taunting people, though they don't even know it.
- Creating havoc in all forms.
- Devastating the Ministry's body count.
- Rock music. What would the world be without it?
- Tattoes - he's covered in them. Dred is, at least. Slade isn't. Something that he has vowed to fix in the near future.
- He is greatly amused by any person that can keep up with his witty remarks.
Dislikes»» [/b]
- Any auror that happens to walk by.
- Seeing Dawn, Jaiden, or Surros, his owl, in pain. They are his FREINDS, dammit!
- Stupid, useless people. They are just a liability.
- Rap. So, he's into the gang scene, and there isn't lot of country being played in the hood. But it gets so damned repetitive!
- Happy endings. They aren't any fun at all.

Body Build»» [/b]
Slade; Lean, and muscular, though it only subtly hints the ladder.
Mordred; Built, toned, ripped - so much so, that his abs look like freakin' scales. All the hard workl of being a gang leader.
Nationality»» [/b]
He is English, though his sister is French.
Distinctive Features»» [/b]
Slade;
Slade usually wears sunglasses - it's like his signature thing. Even when it's raining, there is the sunglasses. Even when he is inside, there are the sunglasses. Even when he is teaching, there are the sunglasses. They are everywhere!
Mordred;
Mordred's left ear is pierced repetitively, starting at the lobe and ending where his ear connetcs again with his head. They are little silver hoops that are exactly ther same size and shape, and Jaiden teases him for it, calling him 'Jingle Bells', as every time Dred takes a step, his earring clink together.
The gangleader's body is inked. There is one huge, dominant tatoo that coils itself all the way around his body. The snake's long folds wrap around his arms, his torso, and slide up his backbone, over his shoulders, and rests its head at his throat. The mouth is opened, looking to swallow a black heart printed to one side of Dre's neck. The heart has an inscription on it, stating;
'My hands turn angel's wings from white to grey to black. I have ruined so many lives, but remorse is what I lack.'
Also, Mordred's hands are compltely free of any creases. There are no folds of skin, swirls, or little muscle dimples as there might be on anyone else's hands. His are completely smoothed, without so much of a pucker of skin that disrupts their icy coolness. the reason for this strange condition is fairly simple but horriffic to any normal person - Mordred's fingerips, his palms, and the long, pale fingers as a whole were burned. The skin was burned away, and healed quickly with a spell, so as the skin might not repair itself and make an attempt to go back to normal. So Mordred goes around lacking fingerprints, though his much more noticeable palms are usually diguised with fingerless gloves.
Dress Style»» [/b]
Slade;
Slade dresses smartly, in polos and trenches and things of the like. In truth, Mordred positively hates the way the way that he dresses as Slade, but sees no way around it. He never hears the end of it from Jaiden; "Ohhh, Dred, I think you have a piece of fuzz there" or "Damn, Dre. did you get a smudge there?", often picking at the professor's spotless and immaculately clean clothes.
Mordred;
Mordred resorts to the badass in him when it comes to how he dresses. Black is his chosen color - his ever present leather trench coat hangs down to his ankles, and brushes the knee-high and buckle - riddled boots that he wears. His shirts tend to vary - cloth sleveless, silk button downs, and nondescrpeit black T shirts are all worn.

Social Status»» [/b]
Mordred was the Slytherin King in his time.
He was the mastermind behind all treason, though he never got caught. Sure, his friends did (or they thought they were his friends), and some even got expelled, but did that ever stop him? Hell no. He went right on scheming. The teachers knew it was him - he let them, he practically showed them it was him, often saying things in class that only someone on the inside would know. But never would they have proof that he said anything. The witnesses, the rest of the student body of Hogwarts, never seemed to have heard anything....
And the teachers, after each and every intricate plan that was laid, after each perfect scheme revealed, after each plot had been perfectly executed, they would come to find him. And Mordred - Mordred would be lounging on the sofa, reading Le Morte De Arthor, and would have a lazy, triupmhant smirk ready for them when they came raging in.
Alliance»» [/b]
To the Concerte, of course.
But if he was pulled into the Death Eater versus the Ressurected Order, then he would deem himself a Death Eater.
Things were so much more fun when you were evil.
Career Goal»» [/b]
He never really wanted to be a teacher, but he figures that hiding under the Minsistry's nose, while they are out looking for him elsewhere in the US, searching the ghettos and run down neighborhoods as well as the pricey to-do homes, was great fun. It would be hilarious to rub it in their faces, and see his face in the Daily Prophet reading 'Deadlocke At Large' when, in fact, he was residing, quiet as a kitten, in Hogwart's halls.
Yes, very entertaining indeed.

Anida Scabior >>Step Mother, pureblood
Gregoire Scabior>> Father/Uncle, pureblood
Priscilla Prince>>His sister's mother, pureblood
Dawn Prince>>Half sister, pureblood
Jaiden Scabior>>Brother, pureblood
Daphne Scabior>>Mother/Aunt, pureblood
Past»» [/b]
- Gregoire Scabior was infamous for getting around. He usually had three or four girlfriends at a time, though he was married to Anida Yaxley.
One of his girlfriends, Daphne, it seemed, turned out to be his sister. They did not know this until te poor woman had a child and had to get tests for who the father was--it was then that they realized that Gregoire and the Daphne were siblings. Disgusted with herself, Daphne fled and dumped the child on Gregoire and his wife.
Anida, the woman that Gregoire was married to, was already bitter from her husband's past betrayals. That he now had a child by another woman--his sister, for god's sakes--absolutely repulsed her. She hated the child the first time she saw it. So Anida named him Royce Lot, after the vengeful king in Le Morte de Arthur that was conceived between Arthur and his own sister.
Now humiliated, Gregoire all but ignored his incestuous son. Sure, he was fed and housed, but only to the point to keep him alive. Royce grew up tough, hardened by years of being ignored.
Two years later, another child was born to Priscilla Prince. The little girl was named Dawn and was given Priscilla's last name. Anida never allowed the child to step inside her home, though, and Priscilla kept Dawn to herself.
Royce and Dawn would sneak out at night, though, to meet in secret and plan. They were young, but both were dangerously smart and wanted to escape the poor treatment they received in their famalies' households.
Their plans were further complicated, though, by another child. On the twentieth of December, Anida Yaxley Scabior had her first son, Jaiden.
Royce and Jaiden got along quite well--as they grew, any person could tell they looked quite a bit like each other, and even a little bit of their father. Royce and Jaiden were practically inseparable--Royce watched over his little brother inconspicuously, and Jaiden strove to be more like his brother than should be normal.
But, at eleven, Royce left their mansion in Italy to go to Hogwarts. His father had wanted his eldest son to attend Durmstrang, but Anida, in a brief spurt of caring, said that he would make no connections at Durmstrang that would do him any good when he returned home. Gregoire, seeing the reason in his wife's logic, conceded grudgingly, and sent his first son away, leaving Dawn and Jaiden behind.
Hogwarts, it seems, could not handle him.
Not only did Royce ace all of his classes {straight O's}, but he left his mark on Hogwarts itself. Many times, a teacher would catch one of the Slytherins that was closely associated to Royce in some act of treason against the school. They knew that Royce was behind it, though they could never link him to the crime that expelled so many of his friends expelled. Once such example was Mortimer Flint--he was expulsed for reasons that were kept under wraps and known only by the professors of the school, Royce, and Flint's accomplices that never returned from Flint's expedition.
When the profesors tried to catch him red handed, they would turn up empty--sure, they would catch the culprits, but not the mastermind. Royce would be lounging in the Slytherin Common Room when one of the professors came in, utterly relaxed with his infamous smirking on his face, and reading Le Morte de Arthur.
Le Morte de Arthur slowly became associated with Royce, even back at home. People saw the similarities between Mordred and Royce--the incestuous birth, the cunning and vengeful nature, the will to bend others to follow him. Gradually, Royce slowly became known as Mordred.
And then, in his sixth year, Mordred was arrested on the charges of murder. He was senteced to twenty years in Azkaban, and back at home, a fifteen year old Dawn and a fourteen year old Jaiden were furious.
They would not leave their brother to rot in Azkaban--it would ruin everything, prove everyone right that Mordred was no good, only an embarrassment to the Scabior household. Both Dawn and Jaiden knew that Mordred hated that, and would absolutely despise the Ministry for proving Anida and countless others right.
But Dawn was cunning. She was on Christmas holidays from Durmstrang, and at home with Jaiden, who was also at home for break. There, they planned, all while the trial was going on--all three siblings knew the verdict was set before even the trial started.
Dawn worked all the bits and pieces of information into a plan to free her brother. Jaiden played a key role in this, too, though both were still incredibly young. Neither Priscilla or Gregoire or Anida had a clue what was going on between Dawn and Jaiden--all their attention was focused on Mordred's trial.
The day before the trial would be closed, Dawn, Jaiden, and Mordred launched their plans. All three were summoned to court--Jaiden and Dawn to watch and for Mordred to be persecuted.
Right before the court started, Dawn launched her plan.
Both Dawn and Jaiden excused themselves from the stands on different pretenses, minutes apart. They met up again in the hall that Mordred would be lead through, the patronuses they had worked on so feverishly during those few weeks they had time to plan cast. A grim and a large, black crow waited for the dementors and their brother.
They did arrive and the dementors were warded off. Dawn returned Mordred's stolen wand to him--the Ministry could not break it until the guilty verdict was finalized. A colossal black anaconda was added to the ring of patronuses and, moments later, Dawn handed out the polyjuice potion.
At regular intervals of five minutes, Astoria Greengrass exited the Ministry and waited on the cobblestone streets and waited patiently for Max Bulstrode and Cyrus Borgin to follow suit. All was going well--until the polyjuice potion wore out much too fast, and Jaiden, Dawn, and Mordred stood, exposed and vulnerable on the street right in front of the Ministry's entrance.
Ministry officals and aurors hot in pursuit, Mordred, Dawn, and Jaiden fled. They only made it so far before they hit a dead end in an alley and awaited their fast oncoming fates--Mordred barely had enough time to cast a disillusionment charm on Jaiden before the aurors caught up with them.
As fast as she was, Dawn easily erected three protego shields around them to protect them from the multiple 'stupefy's coming their way. The shields were strong, but would not hold against some of the more powerful and much more advanced spells that the experienced arousers were using.
And then again, Mordred demonstrated how fatally smart he was.
Mortimer Flint apparated between Dawn and Mordred, taking both of their arms in a hold. Jaiden was still under the disillusionment--no one, Mortimer or the aurors, knew he was there.
In that moment, Mordred earned his famed surname, 'Deadlocke'. He glared at the aurors so fiercely in that second, their eyes were in a deadlock with his.
And then, they apparated away, leaving stunned aurors and a lone Jaiden behind.
Slowly, the aurors trickled away, and Jaiden could slip away. He caught a plane back to Italy, as he could not apparate yet, and rested up.
The next day's Daily Profit showed how things had ended up.
Dawn had been seen, along with Mortimer Flint, and were now listed as accomplices. It meant that Dawn could not come home to Italy, and that Mortimer was now a felon.
Days later, right before Jaiden was due to return to Hogwarts, he got a letter, carried by a jet black owl. The letter did not have a signature, but instead a incredibly detailed ink drawing of a raven on it with a snake coiled around it, with a raised head and bared fangs.
The letter told Jaiden in code, so that no one else but him would know what it means, that Dawn and Mordred and Mortimer were in the states, working with a huge gang there. Mordred was a big name there, too, and was already climbing his way up through the gang's ranks. It said not to worry, and to go back to school and that they would be in touch.
Haha. Right.
They expected him to be a good little boy.
Bullshit.
~~~~
Jaiden visited his brother and sister two summers after that and was astounded to find that Mordred was, in fact, the head of this large wizarding gang that went by the name of The Concrete. Dawn had taken up the second in command, and Mortimer was the third.
That memorable summer, Jaiden got his tattoo of his angel's wings on his back, an ironic symbol. The wings were done in black and gray, so as to show that he is tainted.
Dawn has much the same tattoo, only they are a crow's wings, jet black and glossy tattooed over her thin waist.
Mordred has a massive black anaconda that circles his back , coils around his right arm, and slides down his waist on to his hips. The snakes head is tattooed across his throat, it's mouth open and it's enlarged fangs bared. It's lethal black eyes are fixed on the broken, black heart on the other side of his neck. In white script, the heart has siphoned across it;
My hands turn angel's wings from white to grey to black. I have ruined so many lives, but remorse is what I lack.
