heaven & hell... two places in which mortals hope or fear to end up when their lives are over. for mortals, the in between of those two places is earth, where mortals live lives of suffering and despair. what of the lives of the immoral? the servants, the protectors of heaven and earth? where do angels and demons go when they've done wrong against their master and need time to repent for the wrong that they have done? it is called purgatory. a rather large, gated off city in between the good and the bad.
purgatory is where all the angels and demons that have done wrong by their masters are sent to serve their time and repent. if they repent, the council of thrones might vote them back to their original place of origin, however, there are times when angels have been cast off to hell and vice versa. sometimes however, neither the demon council of thrones or the angel party of thrones sees any true place for someone in which they are labeled a lifer. lifers are those who are cursed to live in purgatory forever or until they see a change in personality in which they can vote on your salvation or damnation.
