Current Mood of a Boy Named d r e w-
d e p r e s s e d
After all day of listening to other people's problems and lending that shoulder to cry on, I kind of want to share some of my problems, But, by the time I close up the stall, eat, do my homework (ha, maybe.), bathe, and get all my daily ammount of mischief done there's no one awake to listen to my problems but the ghosts...and they told me I talk to much.
So, my dear, lovely book, here's my problems:
I got a letter from my dad today. He sent it to my mom and she sent it to me. It was the same ole', same ole'. He was saying sorry about what happened and that it hurt me and my sisters and my mom and that he hopes to be out soon. Big whoop. Who wants him back anyway?
You're probably wondering what happened.
Well, on September 1st, 2017, my dad was supposed to take me to the Hogwarts express for the first time. He and I usually did these kinds of things together. But, anyway, we were on our way out the door and down the street and all of a sudden these sirens started off a couple of blocks away.
Well, we live close to the train station and my dad was all "Walk Faster, son, don't wanna be late." He was all nervous and picked my trunk up and started to take off like he was in a speed walking competition. I didn't think anything of it. I mean, we heard sirens all the time, it wasn't a big deal to me.
So, just as we reached the train station, these constables all pulled up and I think and MI agent or two.
But, anyway, they're making a grand ruckus and they all grab my dad and started pulling me off the scene. I didn't know what was happening, to be honest. They just all started pointing guns at him and then started shoving him into a police car.
Next thing I knew Astrid and my Aunt Charlotte are pulling me and my trunk into the train station to get me on that train. That part I barely remember, I just remember my dad- my hero- being put in that police car and being drove off. To Scotland Yard I assume.
Astrid took me onto the platform and told me everything was going to be okay and to just get on the train and have a good time and write when I get there. She wouldn't answer any of my questions and basically shoved me on the train.
So, anyway, after two days at Hogwarts I get a letter from my mom telling me that my dad's going to be away for a while and that I couldn't write him. By Christmas break I had found a old newspaper that had been thrown across the room in his locked up study while my mom and Penny were having therapy downstairs. It said my dad had been arrested for Drug Trafficking.
He's still not been released, it was with organized crime. Turns out he was a higher up sleeze bag. It makes me sick just thinking about him in a dirty room with a bunch of mobsters deciding what their going to do with their most recent "donations."
I haven't seen him since I was eleven. My mom goes down every Saturday to talk to him. I don't want to. I'll probably never see my dad again. Not the way I remember him anyway.
