The Appleby Arrows are a Quidditch team from North England and was founded in 1612. They are known for playing in light blue robes that have been adorned with silver arrows. In 1894, their traidition of shooting arrows into the air every time a team Chaser scored was banned after a stray arrow impaled Referee Nugent Pott's nose. Whimsical fans hope that the Arrows will one day be able to relive their most glorious hour which happened in 1932 when the team beat then European champions, Vratsa Vultures, in a grueling sixteen day match. Hopefully, the Arrows will be competing against their most fierce rivals, the Wimbourne Wasps, when that glorious hour comes.
