St. Mungo's, which was founded in the 1600's by Mungo Bonham, can be entered through a condemned, red brick building. It is located in London and hires healers, mediwitches, mediwizards, and receptionists to service its five floors.[/size]
Injuries and maladies are categorized into five different floors. Each floor has a Healer - in - Charge, several Healers and a few Trainee Healers. There must be a maximum of two Healers and Trainee Healers on every floor.
The Ground Floor and the Fifth Floor employ a Welcome Witch, waitresses, and receptionists.
All applying to be a healer must specify which floor they would like to work in. They must have an E in NEWTS for potions, transfiguration, herbology, charms, and defense against the dark arts.

The ground floor services as a reception area and a medical floor. A Welcome Witch acts a receptionist and is expected to direct ailing patients to their proper wards, redirect existing patients to their wards, etc. Healers in this ward heal patients who have been harmed by exploding cauldrons, backfiring wands, broom crashes, and etc.

The fourth floor is perhaps the most documented ward in the Harry Potter series. This specific ward address issues that have been caused by unliftable jinxes, irreversible hexes, and improperly placed hexes. After several Order members, such as Nymphadora Tonks and Minerva McGonagall, were placed in this ward after being attacked by Death Eaters. Long term residences and permanent patients, who are frequent on this floor, live in the Janus Thickey Ward.
