The Department of Magical Law Enforcement is one of the biggest branches at the Ministry of Magic. It is a combination of police and justice and is much like the Home Office of Muggle Britain. The Department of Magical Law Enforcement is divided into seven smaller divisions: The Auror Office (highly trained, elite dark wizard hunters), Magical Law Enforcement Patrol/Squad (team which is tasked with general law enforcement), Hit Wizards (team of highly trained wizards tasked with arresting dangerous criminals), Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Office (regulates the use of magic on Muggle objects and recovers those which have been bewitched), Office for the Detection and Confiscation of Counterfeit Defensive Spells and Protective Objects (made to get rid of all objects that are said to protect people from dark magic), and the Wizengamot Administration Services (undertakes administrative and clerical duties for the Wizengamot).

The Department of Magical Games and Sports is in charge of all sports related events. The department was formed when each individual Ministry became responsible for anything that happened during any magical sports played within their countries. The department usually deal with sports-related events such as organizing the Quidditch World Cup and the Triwizard Tournament. Compared to the rest of the Ministry, the Department of Magical Games and Sports has a very relaxed atmosphere, with Quidditch posters posted all over its walls.

The Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes soley responsible for repairing accidental magical damage. This department is divided into three seperate divisions: Accidental Magic Reversal Squad, which is a team of wizards who correct mistakes in magic such as spells or potions that have gone wrong; Obliviator Headquarters, which is composed of witches and wizards who are expected to modify the memory of muggles witnessing magical incidents; And Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee, which is a committee that invents excuses for magical accidents and occurances that cannot be obliviated to send to the Muggle community.

[/font]The Department of Magical Transportation is responsible for all different types of magical transportation. There are four divisions within this department. The Floo Network Authority maintains the floo network while regulating the distribution of floo powder through out the wizarding community.The Broom Regulatory Control determines what factors will allow an individual to ride and use a broom. They also have the right to confiscate any broom that has been determined dangerous or tampered with. The Portkey Office controls and authorizes objects that have been turned into portkeys as well as the network in which they are use. It is similiar to the Floo Network Authority.

The department is divided into three divisions named after the three categories of magical creatures - being, beast, and spirit. The dept. also houses the liasion offices for Goblins and Centaurs.
