• even tempered- Naomi's very easy to please, and even if you don't make her happy she won't get upset about it. She understands that usually if someone says something cruel that it wasn't intentional. Or on the chance that it was intentional, Naomi makes excuses for the people who are mean. The only time that she will become truly angry is at the mention of her mother or being forced into social situations. In her first year a teacher tried to make her speak in front of the class and she still can't stand that teacher. It also might be because she was close to knocking the teacher out with a chair after being told that she was going to have to come up to the front to speak.
  
• humble- Naomi will never be the one to tell anyone that she did something good. In fact, most good deeds done by her, Naomi blames on someone else. Because acknowledging you did something good would mean attention. And lord knows that attention is that last thing this young witch wants.
  
• self-sacrificing- Your wellbeing comes before her own. Even if you are an awful and wretched human being, Naomi will put your life before her own. This because there's good chance that she can feel your pain. Every time she sees something, immediately she does everything in her power to prevent the bad things that happens. It's almost always something bad that will happen. Naomi feels that because she can see it, it's her fault. She has to do everything she can to fix it.
  
• empathetic- Naomi will never judge someone else for what they're going through. In fact, she'd probably be the best person to cry to if there was something wrong. Not many people know this, since she's a social pariah. Even metaphorically Naomi puts the weight of others problems on her back and tries to save the world in that way. Poor girl, not everyone needs her help.
  
• kind- Naomi would never do something malicious, on purpose. The guilt she would feel would destroy her. Pretty much every word that comes out of her mouth is a good-natured one. She hates gossip and the way that many of the girls treat each other in the castle.

BAD TRAITS

• shy- Being shy is not a negative thing. In an age where people tend to put themselves out to far, a bit of quiet can be a nice trait. Naomi takes it to the level that makes it a negative. She has trouble speaking to people that she's never talked to, so much so that she can have panic attacks about being in large groups of people. And she knows what people think of her, which is another deterrent to her socializing. Afraid of hurting people, Naomi just tends to avoid them all together instead.
  
• violent- When being forced to do something that is against her will, primal instincts kick in. She will hit or throw things. It's never out of rage, but rather out of fear. Her temper isn't the problem here, it's her social anxiety. The two main triggers of her violent side are being around fire and being forced to speak to people. Interrogations don't go well, and a noticeable tick that occurs right before she snaps is she just completely stops protesting the thing that she's against doing.
  
• nervous- Naomi tends to work herself up over the very definition of the smallest things. A lot of anxiety built over the years after her time in Mungo's has been translated into her lifestyle. She can't speak to people with out at least shaking a bit. The very thought of spending a lot of time with a bunch of strangers makes her physically sick. A test coming up? She obsesses over the fact that she needs to know the material. It gets to the point where knowledge doesn't matter, because her nerves prevent her from preforming well.
  
• unfocused- Because she has so much nervous energy, Naomi has a bit of trouble focusing on one thing. She does much better with spacing herself out while working on several projects. Because she does this however, she comes off very unfocused. And if you manage to get her to actually speak to you, she will probably be thinking about other things at the same time. It's just how her brain works.
  
• self-depreciating- Naomi has a knack for devaluing herself. She's been told that she's useless for so long, that she's started to believe it. Her idea of doing go is putting herself so far behind others that she's basically the dirt beneath their shoe. It's basically sad, because the one person that she talks to consistently is her father. And he's the one who continues to confirm her belief of being worthless.

SECRETS

[/b]- Not many people know of what happened with Naomi's brother and his death. The fact that he died is known by a few in the wizarding community, but the calamity in the family that followed afterward has remained a secret.
Piano- Naomi can play piano. She can play it really really well. She's been playing since she was 4, but hasn't played much up at Hogwarts. She saves it for when she is at home. The music calms her.
Seer- Naomi tries her hardest to hide the fact that she is a Seer from her peers. The staff and most adults know that she has this ability. And most people assume that there is SOMETHING about her that is off to that affect. But she's never confirmed or denied it.
Time in Mungo's- After her mother and brother's deaths, Naomi spent some time in Mungo's psychiatric ward. This is another thing that she keeps secret from the world.

Fire- This one's obvious. Her twin brother died in a fire. She felt every single pain that he felt during it. Fire is a big no-no in Naomi-land.
Crowds- Large groups of people, particularly ones she does not know make Naomi nauseous.
Guns- The fact that her mother chose to use a muggle weapon to kill herself makes Naomi extraordinarily nervous around them. There is nothing magic can do against a gun. Especially a self-inflicted gunshot. Nothing.
Being alone- While Naomi hates large groups of people, she also hates the idea of being completely alone. The constant idea that people around, but not bothering her is her ideal state. She's so afraid that she's going to be left with only herself. People being cruel is way more sufferable than that. [/ul]

Cait has asked me to take over her part of the application accepting for the time being while she's out of the game. Now, on to your application.

• First of all, make sure you've sent in the diversity census to Ella. If you sent it to Cait lemme know.
  
  
• I'm not real sure on the pets. Explain on how they became friends and why she has the ability to calm it and no one else. Does it come in the school to see her and such? Follows her around? Any trouble with it and the headmistress?
  
  
• Her ambitions seem a little unclear. I don't think it's possible to be extremely introverted and still want to help people with their problems. I'm not asking you to change that, but try to explain how she plans to accomplish this ambition more or something. Either make her less shy or more willing to talk to people about their problems. For example, if she is talking to someone have her throw the conversation off herself and have the other person open up. Something like that.
  
  
• I don't know if the quote under the boggart should be incorporated in the history or left there. Ella might have to field that one.
  
  
• I mean I always write the description based off the playby. I mean look at Kristen Stewart. She's not that tiny, she has boobs, and her eyes are blue. The eyes can be changed, so basically ignore that part. But, try to match your playby and Naomi's build up. Maybe she tries to hide her nice body so boys won't look at her? Baggy clothing?

  I love Naomi over all. She and Drew will have to roleplay together sometime. She's a great character. Just fix those things and I should think Hufflepuff, Ella. You'll be the first girl there if Ells agrees. I really can't wait to roleplay with her.

Alright, I fixed pretty much everything. Or at least expanded on them. And yes I did apply with the census to Cait and Ella, so I'm good there I believe. Other than that, the only thing is the playby choice, which I do stand by.

Kristen Stewart was not my favorite choice for Naomi, but for me I do see her as someone who's pretty small and scrawny, at least in the Hollywood World. At the moment she's the people who best matches Naomi's look that I could find. I'm still looking, but as a personal interpretation, I do see KS as someone tiny, and in some appearances, frail. Her pretty average appearance, as far as celebrity playbys go is what I'm really trying for in terms of Naomi.

And Hufflepuff was my initial thought for Naomi as well. Well my initial thought is that I had no idea where she would fit in. She's not quite smart enough to be a Ravenclaw, not particularly cunning, too shy to be a Gryffindor and not really loyal to anything. Actually i'm pretty sure I'm going to post a past thread for the night that the people in her year were sorted, just because I'd love to come up with the rationalization for her house. And now I'm done rambling XD.

Hey lovely! Thank you for waiting so long!

Now, I love Naomi. It's amazing how you have the bare minimum of traits but they produce such a human character. You've got excellent and unique likes and dislikes that also help round her out. I like how her profile is a collection of stories; you've got the boggart story, the cat story. I love all of them because it lets you into her life. I can also see how she's kind - taking care of a cat that abandons her from time to time - and weak - she couldn't stop her mother. She's also pretty honest with herself and that shows in her patronus - she so desperately wants to be stronger. Good job on the voice and first impression! I also like how she keeps her bracelet and why she hates divination!

The only thing to clear up would be her blood status, eye color, and amortentia traits.
She's a half blood - where's the muggle and who's the pure blood? We also ask that pure bloods are corresponding with J.K. Rowling's canon pure blood families. If it's absolutely necessary to have Smethley, that's fine. But I think having her related to some Slytherins would make for excellent plotting!

Add a few more amortentia traits, not scents. What is she looking for? What does she need and want?

And are her eyes blue or brown? You tend to switch the color around a bit.
