His large hands, the hands that she had always thought to be loving and caring, cupped her face ina normal matter. He always did this; He'd always cup her small round face in her hands, smiling down at her affectionately, before plastering a kiss on her pale forehead. He always seemed to have a sort of kindness playing in his eyes and she always looked forward to her father's show of love.
However, when she smiled up at him, the look of kindness was not in his eyes. It was a different look, one that she had never seen on the face of him before. However, though small and unaware of most of the world around her, she knew that the look in his eyes was something that she should not welcome. Later, she would learn, it was one of deep lust. A lust that had severed off the family tie and chosen Giselle as its own.
As she cringed away from him, his fingers gripped into her cheeks, and she cried out in shock and pain as she felt his wicked nails dig into her skin as she tried to move away again. She shook her head vigerously, but Claude's grip would not slacken.
"Venez ici, mon bonbon."
His eyes burned into her own, and she...
She had what? I had woken up, that's what.
I can not stand sleeping alone in that tower. I've always had these dreams, but I find that, whenever I share a bed with, say, Molly or Lucy during the holidays, I don't wake up screaming.
And then when I do wake up, when I find myself trapped in the silken, dark blue sheets that are oh-so comfortable, I find myself in a sweat and in a tizzy. I can't sit in that room, even if it is at such hours where it is unreasonable to leave Ravenclaw Tower. I at least have to sit in the common room with Isabelle, or curl myself around her in bed... But even she doesn't stop the nightmares, poor thing. Ma beauté, my beauty... Poor girl wakes up with a fright and meows me awake.
She cares, and she's the only one who really shares my pain. I just wish I could find it easy to comfort in someone human for once...
But is it meant to be?
